Udit Narayan sad songs were always dubbed by others i think

O Priya Priya's dubbing has nothing to do with Udit singing sad songs...there's a lot that happened when recording that song.

not only that , but dil mera churaya kyun too , even dil kya kare sad version too had kumar sanu, and many other sad versions of udit songs are sung by others, although udit had done great job in chaha hai tujhko but he wasnt used much for sad songs i guess

O Priya Priya was sung by multiple singers. Even Alka had a tiff with A-M and T-Series...but it was the label's doing since they were exclusively using Anuradha Paudwal...the male voices, I think were in this order- Nitin Mukesh, Suresh Wadkar and then Udit Narayan.

wow nitin mukesh also has the version of it ?,,,,,,so A-M basically had a Pritam way of working , make multple versions and choose one 😲 i thought its the method pritam initiated

Anand Milind never had another incident of this...it only happened for Dil and that was because of T-Series...they wanted Anuradha to sing it even though Alka was chosen by A-M...and regarding Udit, I think it was the producers' choice since he sang all the other songs.

Anuradha was very close to gulshan kumar , although few songs which anuradha had sung is better with her voice , alka didnt suited mujey neend na aye at all, but this incident reminds of kabhi khushi kabhi ghum , where sonu was suppose to sing for hiritk and udit was suppose to sing for srk , but karan johar insisted that suraj huwa madham needed more expressive voice so they call Sonu for the song , otherwise udit would have gotten to sing it , this created difference between karan jahor and jatin lalit at that point of time and they never worked again together as it was an entry for 3rd composer in this film ,
