If we go by the prevalent caste system at that time then Chavans would be Kshatriya... so of course warrior clan...

makes sense if Rajputs are also related.

Peshwa in that sense are unique because they were Brahmin... but ended up in a kshatriya job.

Maharashtra state board history textbook grade 4 is completely Indian History and especially Maharashtrian history. 😊

Grade 7 is world wars... repeats in grade 10
