The whole process of Shehroz hiding his feelings because he didn't want to get hurt, to opening his heart to Ushna was just so omg to witness. He tried to push those feelings aside and even avoided Ushna, but how can he run away from a love that cause him to feel so much.

I loved the way that Ushna and Shehroz kept hinting and nudging each other, both scared to get hurt or get the wrong answer. It was just so sweet.

And yes, Shehroz never pushes his love on Ushna, he's not pushy nor forcing her to accept his feelings. It just shows how much he respects her and I just felt so touched when he confessed. They have this quiet love/bond together that is so comfortable, I just adore their scenes, so much nuance and meaning.

He's so different from Sufiyan that childishly professes his love in such a fake grand way that feels like a stage act, that embarrasses Ushna more than have her feeling giddy. Shehroz doesn't put conditions on his love unlike Sufiyan, who expects Ushna to act accordingly to how he wishes. This!! It is so weird that Sufiyan thinks that he is better partner for Ushna than Shehroz. What i like about Shehroz is he does not hide behind mask like Sufiyan. He also knew about Ushna being adopted and despite he did not like both Zainab and Ushna by that time, even during fights with Ushna, he never used that as a weapon to humiliate Ushna , instead he understood the sensitivity of the situation and helped her get over that. He never did anything or good deed with any evil motive while Sufian was respecting Zainab till the time he knew he could use Zainab as a medium to win Ushna. Shehroz might be rude , arrogant but he is what he is. He has a spine and will not run away hiding in a friend's house leaving his love in wrong hands or trying to cut his hand to garner sympathy from his love. Instead he will take responsibility of the situaltion like a mature guy and will do everything in his capacity for his close ones even if it is about making the daughter realise how she went wrong with his mother. Also, Shehroz does not make Ushna and Zainab to count the favours he did on them unlike Sufiyan who kepr claiming how good he has been with Zainab in the past and what favours he did to them. Well, his behaviour is not surprising. He has gotten same traits from his parents who always made Zainab felt that how they did the favour on her by making her live in their house and getting her married to Wahab. On the other hand, Shehroz got this trait from his parents, if he has accepted someone as his family, then you do not do favours on them but it is your duty and respinsibility to take care of them. This is what he tells Zainab in the hospital when she thanks him.

I know right!! How beautiful the writer has written the characters and their relationship dynamics. You have described them so beautfully!! This is the reason why I am little disappointed in director when he could have used these dymamics to his strength. I wanted to see more of Wahab, Naima , Zainab , Shehroz and Ushna. How Zainab and Shehroz's relation develops (We have seen very little of them). How Ushna and Zainab becomes a reason for Shehroz' s relation with his father getting fixed. Ah! But the director successfully wasted a potential drama which would been more beautiful if focus was less on negative family members and Sufiyan .

for once, I am excited about a drama and have faith that the writer or director will not botch things up. even if the next few episodes are not up to the mark, this drama is going to be among my favourite list.

when I think about it from the plot perspective, I can understand why there was so much screentime for the obnoxious rafaqat & co and even sufiyan. we may hate him and his family but they are the reason for the changes in zainab and ushna's life. as zainab said, you intended bad for me but God changed it for the good -- I feel like that is the theme of the drama. we can appreciate the good changes only when we can hold up the mirror to rafaqat & co.

more than a romance, this drama has always felt like an exploration of how families can form even with strangers and blossom -- filling up holes they weren't aware existed. after naima's stroke, the family was in tatters with wahab, shehroze as strangers living in the same house and naima unable to do much because of her disability. it was an empty house. zainab was devastated by the death of farooq who she loved dearly and forced to bear insults and blackmails from her own brothers. so the second marriage brought security, companionship, dignity, respect and refilling of life for all (naima, wahab and zainab) involved -- as well as shehroze and ushna.

both shehroze and ushna had been feeling restless, lost, angry and unable to understand their feelings. the blending of their families basically brought a sense of rootedness and giving them both a time to be themselves without feeling the burden of care about their parents. now, we see another arranged marriage blossom between shehroze and ushan and the family is coming full circle and really maturing into this beautiful tree.

what I really like is that rather than tearing them apart, these stupid toxic relatives are making this family stronger. so I don't mind seeing the antics of these people. plus, it is incredibly satisifying that we keep seeing their downfall and their pain -- it is actually kind of hilarious. 😆

I know right!! It was so beautiful , how they both wanted to listen desperately about each others' feelings yet restraining themselves in the process of getting hurt. How Ushna was excited to know what he wanted to say to her one day back and how he brought up Sufiyan in the picture in wanting to know whether she liked Sufian or not. She liked him flirting with her and her blushing in the whole situation was so endearing. I loved how they he held her hand during the whole conversation and he breaks the gaze between them by bringing the food topic in between. She was mesmerised by his behaviour and could not take her eyes from him while kept flirting with her.

something I am so happy about is that shehroze is not falling in love because of the way ushna care for his family. I am so sick of seeing that kind of trope in these marriage-to-love dramas. it feels rather transactional whenever I see that -- oh you care about my house, oh you take care of me, so I will feel for you. ugh. 🤢👎🏼

insteaad, shehroze and ushna feeling each other happened when they were able to see each other beyond the masks. when ushna fell apart at the cemetery, his heart broke. all this time, he thought of her as this stupid, proud bratty girl who was arguing back with him and driving him nuts. he then saw a vulnerable girl who was just like himself. ushna is his type of girl -- she brings a playfulness into his life with her banter and that sort of competitive playfulness has been missing. there is a kind of mazaa of going head to head with someone and trying to win. he would never appreciate some quiet demure bahu and instead step all over her like an ant. he would also reject anyone like sadaf or his fiancee who are self interested and play games. instead, ushna is direct but also polite and caring. she doesn't tolerate his stupidity and he does need someone to tell him as it is. so she has always stood out to him in that respect.

ushna kept seeing him as arrogant, overbearing but she enjoyed their banter and games. she is just as competitive as him in that regard. the way he looked out for her in the cemetery as well as showing up for zainab opened her eyes to how responsible and protective he is. she was finally able to understand why zainab chose him. at the same time, in the hospital, when he tells her off for trying to advice him,she shakes her head that he will never change. 😂

so I love that they see each other for who they are and but are now at a point able to enjoy each other openly -- this allows their feelings to blossom. that is the best kind of love story ❤️

As much I am pissed on the director to show more of negative family members, may be I was more trying to look it from the perspective of Ushna and Shehroz (It is mostly because I am assuming the drama may not have many episodes left but I am hoping, at least get to see more of Shehroz and Ushna's family dynamics with no rushing their scenes), I completely resonate with what you said. As audience of drama serials, we mostly are invested in lead characters and we tend to avoif how significant other characters play a role in shaping up the situation between and around the leads. Like you said, if it was not the toxic members , Ushna and Zainab would not have realised that how much extent till Wahab can go to protect them . Or we had not seen Naima despite being a nice women does not get manipulated by the bhabhis against Ushna and Zainab. And if Sufiyan had not told the truth, Ushna never had seen a sensitive and caring Shehroz towards her mother which strenthened her faith in her mother's decision to get her married to Shehroz instead of Sufiyan. It is really interesting to see the downfall of those toxic people one by one and making the Wahab's family coming closer and stronger finding support in each other .

what I love about this drama is the downfall of the toxic relatives and it is happening as the drama is progressing. we don't even have to wait till the end to get some paltry resolution that feels lame. it is highly thrilling that I am laughing every time I see raeesa cry. I want to clap when rafaqat is told by shujafat & co how his son has ruined his life. I even re-watched sufiyan being put in jail because I was so excited. even the closeups of him being depressed is entertaining and cracks me up.

so that regard, this drama is filling all our needs -- we get a cute love story, nice family bonding of wahab & co, and we are seeing a fun downfall of sufiyan and his family -- paisa vasool!

fingers crossed, there is no abrupt redemption arc where they magically become good. want satisfactory resolution for those toxic relatives that makes us laugh. 😆

Exactly, it is so good to see very similar people seeing their own reflections in each other which made them closer and that is why it did not take much time for them to fall for each other once they started to know each other. It is not like they have changed, it is just that they started to see each other in different light than what they saw before. Like you said, when Shehroz saw her on cemetery he saw a vulnerable girl inside that rude Ushna like he hides that personality in himself. Loved reading every bit of it.❤️

Same Same!! Please , I do not want that. I want both Zainab and Ushna to maintain their stance against them till the last episode and never forgive them . That will be the proper closure of them. No sudden "Hum Saath Saath Hain" wala thing please. Otherwise , Ushna's and Zainab's character will lose their essence. 😭
