Don't think it is colonial hangover. Hollywood is a bigger industry and much more known in making fantasy/superhero movies. Nothing wrong in bragging as long as you can live up to expectations 😆

Reminds me of the old jokes about Avatar 2, which is releasing about 8 years and three release dates late. 😆

It is weird that Brahmastra trailer is releasing days before the Shamshera trailler and that film will release next month.

RK giving interviews on the film and hyping it as going to be his biggest is even more strange. The interviews could have waited till after Shamshera released.

First teaser and big event in Varanasi was held days before Kalank trailer released. The next big event and teaser release happened days before RRR released🤔

I know exactly what Ranbir means when he says that Brahmastra is "like our own Marvel". However, he could have very simply said that as a team we endeavour to create a unique film universe. "Astra-verse" as silly as it sounds, is apt.

I think that is the biggest problem with current day bollywood,

in the past there were directors from raj kapoor, shantaram to vijay anand , bimal roy who created films rooted in their own sensibilities

good or bad south films are still rooted and unapologetic about it

which is why RRR is making waves in the west, because it is unpologetic about what its roots are

now these BW guys have no roots so all they know is hollywood and they just don't seem to get it that the audience is not interested in a poor copy when they have an original, why copy of marvel when you have marvel

the statement itself is so contradictory, he says authetic and our marvel in the same sentence.

Which date in July is Shamshera supposed to release on? Because they haven’t even released a poster yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if that one gets postponed.
