I honestly think her reason will be that she did it to keep the family together and to protect Harsh's reputation. Harsh might soften towards her now for bringing his son home and accepting him as her own. Regardless of what her reasons were though, in my eyes, nothing excuses the injustice done to Neil! She witnessed him being abused every single day like you said, and never ever spoke up!!

It is quite sad though, because Manjari herself is a victim of abuse and lives in constant oppression. So, I can also understand why she was scared to speak up. It's all so complicated!
