Oh I completely agree with you on this .. that was heart wrenching and kasam se I was like nahi rona nahi but one cannot help but tears end up falling it is such an impactful sequence . The helplessness if the father there really strikes you. And as you said in the previous post it indeed is the silences that strike you..Sach main abhishek trying his best to be the kandha in that devastation to prahalad ji obviously he can't be the son to him but trying to be there and the pradhan ji suddenly being the adult it really hits you. The way they try to feed him and the shot of prahalad cha alone in his house after.dil sach main itna dukh jaata hai.. the best thing is the way it is conceptualized you never realize when you become so connected to then it feels like it is happening around you just in your village your surroundings and you genuinly want to help..

Haha the snake sequence was indeed so awww lol at Vikas finding the belt and shouting it is saanp😆 sach main hug karne ka dil kar raha tha sab ghonchos ko wahan.. but baat wohi hai real friendships is where you can so openly say what you felt like abhishek ka meltdown ke usko bura bhala kaha toh aapne kuch kyon nahi kaha..

Panchayat will come HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from my side....I've been in love with it since the moment it released 2 years back😆....S1 was groundbreaking for its time and S2 is very good too.

The good Tripathi name that has been maligned by trash like Imlie - well it gets resurrected via Panchayat😆 cuz funny coincidence - humare hero ka naam Abhishek TRIPATHI hai ismein😛😆.

I watched S1 before Imlie aired I think😆....but ab toh Tripathi surname ke saath alag level ki memories jud gayi hain😆. And another strange coincidence is that ismein Abhishek ko sab "Sachiv ji" bulaate hain jaise humare Babusahib ka bhi special naam tha in Imlie😆.....yeh sab simplicity waali cheezein kuch hi logon ko achhi lagti hain I guess. Adi and Abhishek have that in common - woh aam aadmi waali frustration with life😆. Baaki Adi obviously was way more idealistic and revered in his career, while Abhishek is a more realistic character grappling with his frustration about the unfair hand life has dealt him career-wise (as he sees it)😆.

If you are yearning for a simple, feel good story and a much needed break from the current cheapness of ITV, this is the show to watch😆.

They built that whole sequence around the concept of the LONELINESS that comes with the grief of losing a loved one. No matter how many people you are surrounded with who offer you support, condolences....at the end of the day, nothing can fill the void of the one you've lost - you are left alone to grapple with it at some moment or the other - that is what was depicted by those shots of Prahlad sitting in his house by himself....no one can live his life FOR him no matter how much they care for him....those moments will happen inevitably.

But then ofcourse there are friends like the Panchayat gang too....who will give you space but never let you feel truly alone...they insisted on bringing him out of his lonely space, taking him to that shared space of the Panchayat office and trying to make him eat there with them....and itne se act mein hi convey ho gaya that they ARE his family no matter what....they didn't need to give grand bhaashans on how they will always be there for him....you could just feel the emotion palpably. Vikas and Prahlad ka relationship is one of the cutest in the series - the way they were busy gossiping about Abhi-Rinki in the beginning....lol I would love to see them evolving in the new season too following this tragedy....I still can't get that one shot out of my mind of Vikas crying on the terrace.

Snake sequence bhi itna simple and realistic tha....lol itna suddenly aaya saanp and then phir mila bhi nahin....haha....and oh lord that friend of Abhi's who was fangirling over being in a village but thodi hi der mein chaska utar gaya gaaon ghoomne ka when boredom struck 🤣....itne subtly dikhaaye saare friendships - whether it was the city ones or the village ones....lol how sweetly the Panchayat gang took to Abhi's friend ki ab toh yeh humara bhi dost hai - chalo baith ke beer ke mazey lein😆....such a sweet continuation of the party ka adda thing from S1❤️😆

Word....nothing was thrown in gratuitously....they showed the dancing culture which very much exists in those parts without resorting to vulgarity and didn't let it be a token scene either - it served a purpose to build up towards something in the narrative....kaise ek ek baat aage judke lekar jaati hai scene ko....lol that mitti waala guy came to watch the dance for timepass, then created ruckus over noticing ki one of the dancers was a guy😆, then got stuck with the guilt of the girl getting injured in the chaos....lol then managing to use the mitti ka rate negotiation as leverage to get Abhishek to take her to the doctor😆....such awesome writing, man....dil khush ho jaata hai dekh ke ki abhi bhi storytellers zinda hain and there is an audience to appreciate this.

I was just now watching yeh Vinod ka IV also....lol matlab ek ek actor itna ENDEARING joda hai is cast se....they all look so grateful and happy even for performing small roles cuz 2-3 scenes are enough to make a lasting impact when the storytelling is so good....woh maasoomiyat maintained hai in every member of the cast....they all just genuinely seem like good people working to create something that is genuine in this otherwise super artificial world aajkal.

Helloooo Looooong time! 🤗 And hi to everyone ‘new’ with whom I haven’t interacted before :)

This… Whole episode was impactful.. This is the bit broke my heart and I ended up crying… when Prahlad broke down saying he is lonely and saying that god has been unfair to him! 😭 The fact that he was the happy pill in this show.. just affected me so so much. I am really looking forward to his arc.. And word that the songs are amazing!
My love for this show is again because it shows us a slice of life & one that is not depicted often with simplicity.. Na drama.. Na Chilana.. just focus on characters, situations and reactions… The ‘slowness’ with which depicts the village life is also soooo refreshing, calming and peaceful for me 😊 especially as my life is the exact opposite lol 🤪 You get to savor every every moment..

The love story is also evolving sooo nicely and organically.. lol they are showing haq without even realizing.. and lol at everyone around them observing their dynamics and acting like Cupid 😃

I also loved the episode where his friend came for an ‘adventure’ lol Kafi gyaan de raha tha.. ek din mein doodh ka doodh and pani ka pani hi gaya 🤣but his message that yahan se nikal was sweet! Good friends :) and then there is CC TV, chapal chori, toilet, 🤣 This show has its heart in the right place and I hope it always stays there :)

Take a bow for this season! I am definitely looking forward to the next season.. P.S. I am re realizing how difficult it is to type on IF! Glad I saved draft and copy pasted this before posting because I lost my first post 😕

Helloooo BW ji🤗

Word to your review :)

Woh friend coming to visit Abhishek wala epi was an awesome one indeed....lol at his knowing smile in the last scene after watching Abhishek-Rinki interacting over the lantern😆.....that is deffo another win for the show ki how subtly they've shown AR ka soft corner developing for each other without any overt gestures or sudden OTT gestures to indicate their feelings.....I think my fav. moment b/w them was when she texts him after hearing that he's upset over what the MLA said and bas 2 lines ke brief exchange mein Abhishek calms down and is finally able to eat his food and go to sleep😆. The simple fact that she made the effort to dig his phone number out of her mom's phone and message him said so much😆.....they are sort of naturally falling into their pattern of interacting without making a big deal out of it😆.....and koi aur puchhe about the undercurrents visible between them toh that also they instantly dismiss😆, and yet there is no denying that he started liking chai at the water tanki after meeting Rinki there😆, or that he thought on his own about picking up a birthday cake for her even after everyone said they aren't taking any gift for the party😆 .....there is only so much he can brush under the "good samaritan" umbrella😆. I hope they keep their equation developing aise subtly hi aage bhi.

Another memorable epi was the one with the drunk jeep driver....I love these arcs where they start off showing Abhishek being judgemental about someone until he discovers something about them that makes him reflect on his own situation and his own life.....the driver talking about his depression over only earning 20K being the reason he has become a drunkard and that made Abhi draw parallels to himself....I also love how the Panchayat gang has started sensing how sensitive Abhishek is and they are always telling him not to take things to heart....lol....is case mein bhi they were trying to tell him to not take every situation so literally that he starts thinking he will also spiral into drunk despair like that guy.....and then that little touch in the end as the driver drives away by saying, "kabhi kabhi ho jaata hai" and even apologizes for his behavior.....lol woh contrast bhi dikha diya between his sober polite state and his uncouth drunk state....so many subtle messages conveyed.

Haha are you typing from your phone on IF? Waise toh I feel even that has gotten easier or maybe frequency of use makes it seem easier to me now chaahe phone ho ya laptop😆
