So yes, there is a thing such as 'looking Indian', or 'looking South Asian'. You can easily identify a South Asian when you see one. Ash and Kareena don't look desi. Indians, no matter how fair, have a brownish or yellowish tinge to their skin. They don't have Caucasoid complexions. Also, their bone structures are different.

Kareena is a stretch, but believable. Aish as an example is just trying too hard

Anyways, speaking from personal experience: Aish and Bebo don’t look desi to my non-desi friends.

That’s a stretch. This question has been asked by many non-desi’s.

Like someone just said, India is diverse country and there is no such thing as looking "Indian"😵 because Indian is a nationality, not ethnicity.

There's no one type of 'brown skin' in India too.

As far as stars are concerned, Ayushman, Rajkumar, Deepika, Priyanka, Varun, Vidya, Kartik etc cannot be called "fair-skinned" per standards of the west. They all look Indian to me.

Same for senior actors like Akshay, SRK, Aamir, Salman, Sridevi, Madhuri, Sanjay Dutt etc

Stars like Sunil Shetty, Ajay Devgan, Shilpa Shetty, Kajol, Bipasha etc are clearly well-groomed brown-skinned Indians.

Most of the South stars are also brown-skinned and look Indian (Prabhas, Vijay, Anushka, Allu, Rashmika, Suriya, Dhanush etc), so I don't know what lack of representation is being discussed here.😵

The likes of Kareena/Karisma do not look completely "Indian", because they have British genes in them through their maternal grandmother.👍🏼, but they are still Indian.

Then there are foreign imports like Katrina, Jacqueline, Kalki etc etc but they are certainly not in the majority.

They all look Indian to me

Whats with the racistic mentality, if anyone is extra pretty, gorgeous or handsome, they must be European or middle eastern. Because, Indians are supposed to be brown and ugly, aren't they? Its appalling to consider anyone lightskinned and beautiful to be Indian. So the conclusion goes - yup some other ethnicity👏
