India's heartland has a lot of stories which Hindi movies have barely captured. Telugu cinema has been doing it since the black and white era. This reminds me of a fairly old Telugu movie named Anji, it was a flop at the box office but was actually a really good movie for those times, visually also very appealing.

Anji was really a visual treat for that time. VFX was awesome, so the story and movie. Not sure why it was flop

I had watched it in the theater and was completely amazed by Lord Shiva during the climax! Damn powerful for those times, nearly two decades ago! I still wonder why it was a flop.

On teaser: Damn! I have to admit that Mouni was so good in this one, her presence was much more impactful than Aloo, may be it is obvious because she is playing a different role but still, just had to say it out! 😆
