because priya pressed on for investigation when he thought to drop it all by hiding about it and confessing that she would rather die for him, which she almost did once already

She did not justify her family she told Ram that she will do whatever he says & he told her to arrest her own mother, Precap was more abt Ram than Priya

I find it hilarious that Ram jump onto guns based on half-baked evidence and takes decisions impulsively than Priya solves it & than he regrets his mistake accepts it and fold his hands for forgiveness

I was thinking what would he have done even if Priya told him the truth. He is so emotional that after hearing a random manager accused his father as fraud he believes & run away. Even in Varun issue he was getting him arrested w/o proofs. Whether Priya tells him the truth or not he only makes decisions on seeing the surface he does not dig deeper into the depth of the issue
