I saw that scene as him giving her freedom and independence. He said she never needs to ask him anything or seek his permission. It reminded me of when he tells Akshu he won't ask her what she was talking to Kairav about. I think that these types of boundaries are really important in any relationship -- they trust each other enough to give each other their own space. It's like when Akshu didn't probe him about Anisha and knew that he would talk when he's ready! Obviously these 2 have communication gaps they need to work on, but I really love how there is a mutual respect and understanding in that they don't need to hover over each other.I was saddened by what Abhi said to Akshu when she got that call for the interview
