I love the way he shut up during the whole KJo drama and his PR released harmless "Kartik breaks internet" articles instead 😆 Super smart move and made people like him more. I agree. I am kinda relieved that he is not part of Dostana 2. I have no hopes from that film.

Dostana 1 was not some piece of art either. It film was full of cringe and did nothing to "educate" the Indian audience (something that KJO likes to take credit for🤪)

On the contrary, it did more harm to the community because it made homophobic jokes "mainstream" and normalized homophobia in the process.

I used to think srk and kajol as couple 🤣 but as i used to like srk juhi more. That's why i got surprised after reading your comment 🤣

Completely agree, Karthik rose to fame from Sonu ki Sweety, from audience , it was not about pr even if many called him out for doing a movie like that.

His core audience are masses , and not much in multiplex, so he should concentrate on doing medium budget humour movies, going by his track record those that have done well.

Experimenting he can do one like Dhamaka and release on ott

I watched BB in single screen and there was huge cheering for him.

He should play smart pr too and good he maintained his silence during the KJO phase, it clearly worked in his favour and in Bollywood where you do not have permanent friends or enemies, you should be smart

I think his next release will be the real test.

BB1 was such a riot, and I'm sure this has helped garner interest here - at least one of the biggest factors.

However, if his next is as well received as this then yes - he has carved his way in

Totally with you, I think it’s too early to say that he has sealed his stardom … though BB2 is def. a huge milestone in the right direction. n I say more power to him.
