I for one can’t connect with the contestants even though they all are new to me. I know some have come in other shows but as I’ve not watched those shows so new to me.

Soyab and Rituraj could have grown on me but their drama has put me off.

I find arunita’s team not given good choice of songs. Seems high pitch or alaaps are “in thing”. Unfortunately aru’s team not given those kind of songs

Anyone watching Naam Reh Jaayega - tribute to gr8 melody queen Lataji?

When I hear Neeti Mohan singing her songs in that tribute show and struggling, I say to myself makers should have roped in Arunita instead of Neeti. Aru would have sung those songs spot on 👍🏼

Perhaps Arunita is not a part of that show because of Sony's contract.

I am surprised that Shreya Ghoshal is not there.

Neelanjana will perform in the show and I think Anwesha too. There may some other reality show stars too.

I think even Aishwarya Majmudar is also a part of this. Saw it somewhere if memory serves me right.

Even I was really surprised and disappointed with the absence of Shreya Ghoshal.

I have seen only the first episode, and Anwesha sang in that one. She was by far the best of the lot because on the one hand were those past their prime, and on the other hand were those whose prime is frankly not good enough to sing Lata Mangeshkar songs.

Anwesha and Aishwarya suffered from the fact that they started coming of age just as Shreya Ghoshal was beginning to peak, and hence they could never get the heights they deserved.

Gajendra Singh involved with the tribute so I thought good chance for some from SRGMP. He was the original creator of SRGMP before jijju involved.

How long will Arunita stuck with Sony’s contract?

I agree with song selection issue with Aru's team. Fiaz is attempting some iconic songs, where the expectation is very high, and difficult for him to achieve at this point. He will be better off with more Arijit's song.

You are right about high pitch/alaap being the trendy thing these days, in that respect, Danish's team and Salman's team will dominate this season.

Arunita and top 15 were live on Sony's insta account. Nothing special just telling about the 90's special episode.
