The declination of char arc of AK has affected the show the most.

yaar show won’t function without him. This is a purana issue with ITV. Has happened with many serials. Ek bhi lead nikalta hai and the show tries to continue with leaps etc but fails and then pulls off. So they won’t risk losing GK.
