Absolutely valid pointers. Agree with them. In fact sometime last week I did mention that both have claimed that they trust each other. Now it is time to test those claims. Fake pregnancy is Sai’s test and kidnapping will be V. For Virat it is not just trust but the proving his love is beyond physical level. We did feel that this at this point neither Samrat nor Sai will believe a fake pregnancy allegation nor does P have any solid grounds for such accusations. But like you pointed out with Sai getting occupied with shifts and Samrat going away she can definitely hatch the plan. The only hitch or rather the cocktail mesh that I see is bringing together of these tracks simultaneously. Escalating the drama quotient there. But then it doesn’t turn around to be a give and take or return favours feel to it. Because they happen in parallel.

Coming to Sai’s journey towards realisation. Like we all feel the story has potential. But they fail in its execution. What I could not connect with in that scene of realisation was the checklist. When they have dealt with it the entirely in more organic way, why did they end it up doing something so predictable or cliche. The only reason I can point out there is Devi. Anyone else would mean persuading or manipulating her to feel a certain way. Devi cannot be accused of that. I wouldn’t deny that it had some poignant revelations in between lines. For eg - She says the ā€œBoyfriend banta isse pehle meri Virat Sir se shaadi ho gayiā€. A fact that most of us have talked about. She never really had a chance at love other than Virat. But when I look at it from another perspective, love is something that happens to you. You don’t force yourself to fall in love, you may choose to refrain yourself from proceeding with it. Now Sai had friends in male friends in college. She always believed the marriage was a deal and it will be over one day. Yes her morals and ethics would never have made her have a relationship outside her marriage. Like i mentioned somewhere despite the uncertainty around the fate of their marriage they had been faithful. But coming back to it, she spontaneously responded to Devi, that she never had a chance at love because she got married by then. Which means no one ever entered that sphere. Again, I’m clearing this, I’m not talking about affair, but she never felt that ways about anyone.

Thats where I feel the disconnect. There was conversation which was meaningful in places, but that moment of realisation just didn’t match the build up around it.

I haven’t watched KD, so can’t comment much. But from what I have read here he tends to go back and forth with track sequences. Now remakes always are very tricky deals. When the original is written it is done with a certain flow of story and progression of characters. When such changes are made while remaking these have to be considered. And that I feel is missed here. Hence loses the essence.

Just another example to support my argument. I love to read. And mostly I have been disappointed when I watch their movie remake. Why so? Writing gives you a bigger canvas than visual platform, and reading gives you a much much wider imagination scope and perspective than a movie. And that is what I feel Vankar misses. He writes, and when you write you give the reader more for assumption and self understanding. He is not an author writing for a reader, he is writing for tv audience. Both writings are different and hence the presentation and treated is very different.

Oh is it?! I thought only villagers suspected no? Emon was pissed off that he missed the delivery and doesnt let him see his daughter. Thats what I understood from discussions here.

But my doubt is - From a purely ITV perspective, wouldnt it make sense to not bundle up multiple tracks as that reduces the prospects of increasing and stretching the number of episodes? At the end of the day, its the revenue that matters right? So whats the advantage of now bundling up so many tracks together which is also going to be confusing for the audience to keep track of? FOr once, Vankar has kept us in the dark to guess his next move.šŸ˜†

If they cant capture SaiRat's intimacy due to timeslot, they should atleast write some suggestive and romantic dialogues like morning after today.

I heard that emon used to complain that he takes away her nights and rono calls her desperate or hungry :P. not sure. šŸ˜†

ā€œAlso KD is written by a woman. Her visualization of Virat and experience as Sai can never be captured by Vankar I believe. we can only try to understand them from how it is written in the original. thats why people like KD, as a woman it is easy to feel for Sai. ā€œ

Off the topic, and not a comparison to be related. Just a memory share. I remember cribbing about this with friends. Things have changed now, but earlier when we used to read M&B it always used to be a woman’s perspective. Never giving an insight into the male outlook of things. And then suddenly u know the guy was always mad about the girl. 🤣🤣

With single tracks itself, he gets into hot mess and finds it difficult to find the way out without collateral damage. šŸ¤” With a complex web like this, he will make burnt and baasi khichdišŸ¤” I am going to keep my expectation very low, so there will be minimum engagement with the show. The whole post Sruthi phase with Sai's abuse by every single character on the show took a toll on me. So once bitten twice shy - keep an arm's distance and its good for my mental health (read about this tip on Didi's blog 🤣🤣)
