Abhi's dilemma between professional and personal life balance

I think it's a great storyline if they show Abhi trying to strike a work-life balance. It makes sense with the kind of character he was when he was introduced. (loved his character then.) He is always foremost a doctor, then a son and now a husband. It makes for a more realistic storyline.

Also it's good as long as they keep showing such profession based tracks else they'll make HC sit at home (like Kartik) and just fully involve him in kitchen politics.

But it also is amusing in a way - Shefali too is involved in her profession (it may not be an essential service but to her it is) and Parth just cannot support her, instead he mocks her. Whereas Akshu, no matter how bad she feels, makes herself understand that Abhi will keep his profession first.

And thinking of amusing contrasts, I remember watching this show about a wife who was also a doctor (a quite famous and reputed, like Abhi). She managed her house too, took care of and had amazing relations with her MIL and grand MIL and tried to balance everything. She even gifted her husband a plot of land to build his dreams. The husband was understanding at first and then a few episodes later, he repays her by having an extra marital affair with her best friend!

It's funny how plots and expectations change when the genders are reversed.

In that kunal cheated his wife mauli with her own best friend nandini..it was very sad.

That show was produced by Pearl Gray, our producer's ex wife. I hated that one ..it is realistic to the core. Aditi OMG what an actress but how can the husband be so cruel.

You wrote a very interesting point. Shefali is mockery by Parth for being a career oriented woman even though she tries her best to balance her professional and personal life. Abhimanyu went to hospital immediately after his wife's grihapravesh and Akshara let him go. If a doctor saves lives a journalist too lets the world know what's going on. Both are not mere jobs but also something that the society can benefit from. I hope Akshara supports Shefali and stop Parth from underestimating and mocking her.

For me it was a very confusing show . The writer wanted to show a love story but it was horrible ..it was never clear to us the reason why the hero would ruin a perfectly happy married life with his loving wife . Why would a friend who owes big time to this lady who helped her getting out of an abusive relation , not think abt having an ema.. It cud have been something else , with layers and complexities but it was bakwas.

Whatever it was , career choice had nothing to do with it.. if mauli was a home maker or teacher or any professional or business person, her Fate would be the same. Her husband was a lose character man . Everything can't be justified In the name of love.

Coming To abhira. This is just the first track . N I feel they brought it to delay the suhag raat. it will be "over" after their sr. Over means akshu will never have this problem nor will abhimanyu fill it difficult to balance home with work . What is he doing from the last so many months ? Specially after confession?

In those days Rangu was obsessed with the concept of extra marital affair. In Bepannaah too Aditya's and Zoya's spouses indulged in extra marital affair just because they didn't try to communicate and share their problems with them. Later the cheated wife tries to defend their ema by calling it paak 🤢🤮 and the cheated husband's brother too calls the ema couple's love for each other as true love. 🙃😆 Why they showed all that? Nobody knows but that track entirely ruined the essence of the show.

In Silsila I feel Kunal never loved Mauli. He was attracted to her because of her ambition and sweet nature but never actually loved her. I feel that could be the only reason he fell in love with Nandini. Nandini wanted an ideal man who would love her, respect her and protect her and she found these qualities in Kunal hence fell in love with him. Mauli was a complete victim who was betrayed by both her husband and bff.

Yeah I agree with you. I feel that hospital emergency was shown only to delay the consummation of Abhira marriage. Abhimanyu spent lot of time with Akshara even during the working hours before marriage and not once did he get a call from the hospital. If one doctor is on leave the hospital calls the other doctors during emergency. It's not like Abhimanyu is the only doctor in that hospital. The fact that their bed was not decorated for SR itself proves the writers wanted to delay the consummation

That show was the worst! I loved mouli though! The only reason I could give for the affair is kunals lust! She was a beautiful damsel in distress and she liked the attention! Vile show

Ha ha ha ..how one man is so different for 2 ladies 😆 Jiski nature mein hi trust loyalty aur integrity nai hai, the one who couldn't feel pain of his wife , showing him as an ideal of another woman is so ..meaningless. that's why the story fell flat and it Invited a lot of criticism. Both wanted the same thing and apparently they had a lot of time to do it.

Ikr I don't know how Nandini thought Kunal who's cheating on his own wife can be her ideal husband. 🤣 He may not be abusive like her ex husband but he is as worst as that guy. The serial just failed to tell the reasons behind Kunal-Nandini affair. Their justification that pyaar kabhi bhi kisi ke saath bhi ho jaata hai was plain bullshit. It deserved all kinds of criticisms and bashing it got.
