But it also is amusing in a way - Shefali too is involved in her profession (it may not be an essential service but to her it is) and Parth just cannot support her, instead he mocks her. Whereas Akshu, no matter how bad she feels, makes herself understand that Abhi will keep his profession first.

And thinking of amusing contrasts, I remember watching this show about a wife who was also a doctor (a quite famous and reputed, like Abhi). She managed her house too, took care of and had amazing relations with her MIL and grand MIL and tried to balance everything. She even gifted her husband a plot of land to build his dreams. The husband was understanding at first and then a few episodes later, he repays her by having an extra marital affair with her best friend!

It's funny how plots and expectations change when the genders are reversed.

Coming To abhira. This is just the first track . N I feel they brought it to delay the suhag raat. it will be "over" after their sr. Over means akshu will never have this problem nor will abhimanyu fill it difficult to balance home with work . What is he doing from the last so many months ? Specially after confession?

Mauli being such a loving, loyal and doting wife and friend did not deserve that betrayal..kunal was attracted to nandini's beauty so it looked lusty and cheap..

In YRKKH..this professional difference is highlighted since the beginning..aarohi thinking that she's the perfect match for abhimanyu on grounds of profession and even birlas preferring aarohi over akshara for abhimanyu because aarohi is a doctor has been the crux of the story..but I don't think this can be reason for abhira's conflict becoz akshu is very understanding and abhimanyu doesn't care about akshu not being a doctor..he is madly in love with a singer and he knows it..all this drama is just to delay the consummation of the couple..but this professional difference will be brought up time and again to criticize abhira's relationship specially by birlas..akshara will be looked down upon for a long time for being a singer

Last line very well said. I want to see a serial on ITV when it's really other way. Though they did show that in one show Diya aur baati where wife was ips officer and husband was halwai. Though initially she struggled adjusting to In laws but eventually succeeded and also excelled in her career.

Hoping they don't spoil Abhimanyus character and do keep the focus on his profession. I am looking forward to see matured and professional story here.

Nandini was such an abused woman that it was easy for her to fall for a man like kunal who was soft and caring.. her abusive marriage had left her emotionally scarred that her emotions for kunal overpowered all reasoning and friendship.. i think kunal was mishandled quite badly in the sense that he termed it as love for nandini by just being physically attracted to her seeing her dance in the rain.. for some one who had a stable marriage, it was just attraction, i feel..

There doesnt have to really be a reason to fall in love/ indulge in ema.. but the writers should have handled it realistically and not pass off nandini-kunal love as something destined/pristine/soul mates type.. i think that is where the criticism started and rightfully so.. another mistake of writers was trying to portray nandini as this lachaar bechaar oh poor woman and try to garner sympthy even after the kaand.. they could have made her self aware of her decisions and the consequences and have nandini and kunal handle them maturely.. that doesn’t necessarily make them negative/ antagonist but alas..

Silsila is the only show I have hate watched. Kunal is one of the most vile character I have ever seen on screen and Nandini don't even get me started. He getting intimate and making future plans with his wife while simultaneously romancing and seducing his true love 🤮 And Ms. Nandini wanted to share sindoor with Mauli (Hum Tumhe hurt nhi karna chahte the🤮🤮🤮)

The whole KuNan thing was infuriating to the core. Especially since those 2 A-holes behaved as if it was true love and not plain lust. Don't pull that BS on me or the audience. That's why hate spilled on the established actors for choosing such a script where ema is justified.

The only good thing that show did what it never messed with Mauli or other characters like Dida and Ma. The reaction to EMA was realistic from everyone apart from these 2 cheaters. Aditi was fantastic!! 👏 👏 👏

I think it's all the goodwill Mauli earned and all the ill-will KuNan 🤢 earned that made people pick favourites in the next generation too. In my defense the kid playing Pari was soooo annoying.

Contrast it with other shows like Kya hua tera vaada, or Kehne ko Humsafar (both produced by EK). The EMA concept is handled so maturely where cheaters are self aware and not justifying their act. You hate the character but never the actor. Infact Ronit Roy and Mona Singh won accolades for their realistic portrayal.

That's what. Shefali is shown to be a career oriented woman but she also does whatever she can in her personal relations. She is/was genuinely happy for Abhi and having fun, dancing at his wedding. She shares an amicable relation with others too. She isnt completely neglecting her personal duties only she is legitimately trying to find time to balance both. and sometimes she prioritizes one over the other.

If a doctor saves lives a journalist too lets the world know what's going on. Both are not mere jobs but also something that the society can benefit from. I hope Akshara supports Shefali and stop Parth from underestimating and mocking her.

Also in the world where breaking news is news, she needs to be on her toes all the time. Forget urgent / essential jobs, nowadays even in "9-5" desk jobs, people work overtime, on weekends. It's not ideal but sometimes spouses/family understands. So even if she was doing a "normal" job, she shouldnt be mocked for not "making time."
