The doctor bahu thingy is realistic for a change. There are lot of examples of doctors prefer to marry only doctors and IAS/IPS officers prefer to marrying only IAS/IPS officers. They may have their own valid reasons but mocking someone for not being doctor is so wrong. Unfortunately aaj kal ki society hi aisi hai.

Akshu then goes down the stairs with banno banna playing in the background. This scene was absolutely majestic. It was straight out of a movie & beyond. The cinematography, the veil, and decorations, everything…. It was all perfect. Pranali handled this scene with so much grace. It was mind-blowing!

Everyone is so smitten by her!! Literally every single person, including the Birlas. Swarna was sobbing during this scene along with Manish — they had the purest reactions!

Abhi is always mesmerized by Akshu, but today, it was different. It was a look of complete peace and awe and respect. This is the day he has been waiting for since the moment he heard her voice, and it is finally here. He had tears in his eyes in almost disbelief that this is actually happening. The way he looked down and wiped his tears was the epitome of ETERNAL LOVE!!! And Akshu, her innocent smile, the way she looked at him and then looked down… her nervousness, her happiness, her excitement… it was all so evident in her expressions. They both fought so incredibly hard for this, and they deserve all of the happiness in the entire world. The way they both look at each other once again shows that no one can love Abhi like Akshu does, and no one can love Akshu like Abhi does!

Akshu sings meri zindagi mein aaye ho for Abhi. She is someone who does not express her feelings verbally. She expresses the depth of her love through her actions. But, for Abhi to hear her singing for him, in front of everyone… in front of the same families she was scared to voice her love in front of… is such a beautiful full-circle moment. He fell in love with her voice. The core of her identity. And through his love, she gained strength in her voice… enough strength to stand up for their love, and through that, for herself.

Not to mention how perfect the lyrics are — Abhi changed her entire world. He showed her that she is capable of being loved. He quite literally enabled her to breathe again, taking away her anxieties and panic attacks. Abhi was so so overwhelmed during this scene. He was quite literally teary eyed! This is what he has always wanted. All of his dreams are coming true. Not only is he marrying the love of his life, but she is so beautifully and publicly confessing what he means to her.

Akshu was equally as overwhelmed and teary eyed while she was singing. She knows that her voice is his peace, and she knows how much her singing for him means to him. She has changed his life just as beautifully as he has changed hers. Akshu is so deeply in love with Abhi and always has been, and this was her small, yet perfect way, of expressing how thankful she is for him entering her life.

Akshu asks how he liked her surprise, and he says its the best ever. He also has customized his shall with her name on it! She starts crying out of happiness. He tells her that he always imagined her to look good, but she looks more beautiful than he could have ever imagined.

The two sides of the heart come together for their varmala — just like they always do with their hands! The title track plays and they are about to exchange varmalas, when Kairav and Vansh lift her. Abhi whistles and calls Neil and Parth too — they pretend to hesitate, but they come running. Akshu dodges Abhi, but he gets her, and he climbs onto his brother’s shoulders, but she gets him too. Their smiles in this scene was so freaking beautiful!!! They are the happiest they have ever been!

There is time for the pheras, so Mimi says they can have fun. Akshu tells Abhi that there is only one important rasam for her and that is the vachans & he agrees — cannot wait to see what they are going to promise each other!

Abhira both tell their respective siblings that they want to make this shaadi fun so they have to do something. The Goenkas pretend like they don’t want to steal his shoes, but they are plotting. The Birlas are also plotting.

Abhira go and get their photos taken in the meantime. This was so cute just like their pre-wedding shoot! Abhi is tired and doesn’t want to fake smile, and Akshu is encouraging him. She says her feet hurt because of the lengha and Abhi says she could have worn anything — Akshu says even her nightspot and Abhi teases her, saying thank you for giving me ideas.

Neil says he is lakshman for his bhabhi and he wants to wash her feet. Akshu is so overwhelmed. This is just a trick to steal her sandals! Aarohi gets all serious saying this is cheating, but Neil says that he will still wash her feet and show his respect and that for his entire life he will prioritize his bhabhi, but today he is team Abhi. Akshu asks Abhi for help, but he says that today he wants to have fun and he cannot help. So cute!!

The Birlas decide on 10 lakhs for the shoes and there is cute banter. Just then, Mimi says its time to go to the mandap. Abhi says its time for you to become mine forever, but Akshu says that she always has been. She says that she needs her shoes or she will fall, and Abhi says that he promised he won’t let anything happen to her lengha — this is so cute because it is both a reference to the Ganesh pooja and the shaadi lengha! He picks her up, and as they are walking, Jaaniye plays and they have flashbacks of their journey thus far!

The mandap is so gorgeous on water & the cinemetography on this scene was stunning. Manish and Swarna have a cute moment where they cannot believe their grandkid is getting married + Manish knows that Abhira will have a beautiful life. I loved this scene!

Abhira think to each other that this is what they have been waiting for. Both of them are crying!!

Precap is Kairav doing the kanyadaan— so so so emotional! And, it is the reception, where Akshu is being insulted for not being a doctor. We all saw this coming!

My favorite parts of today's episode were (ranked in no particular order):

1.) The original version of YRKKH title song and the montage of all three generations together: Akshara, Naira, and Akshu. It was very nice touch. Gosh, I would have loved to have seen grandmother Akshara and Naira getting teary eyed to seeing Akshu get married. But I'll settle with them watching lovingly from above in Heaven bestowing their blessings and of course with Kartik.

2.) Akshu's grand entry. It was shot so well and it was simply beautiful. It seriously was like something you would see in a movie. The amount of lights and decorations involved ❤️ Their long night shoots probably started from here. Big round of applause for the crew that set all of that up and the dancers who were carrying the candelabras.

3.) Abhi and Akshu's entry into their wedding/mandap venue. That place is gorgeous. Another big round of applause to the crew setting up the water mandap and the lights. All that hard work really paid off because on screen it was absolutely breathtaking. I could only imagine it looking even more spectacular in person. I'm sure the cast was awestruck by the set. This must have been the start of the 13 hour long night shot that some of the actors had posted on Insta about hoping someone would eventually say pack up!

4.) Neil, Parth, and Nishtha stealing Akshu's shoes And this time Abhi not doing anything about it and just enjoying.

Just cannot stop my praises to the filming crew, the set crew, the costume department, the choreographer and dance team crew, and of course to the actors themselves who had to work in such heavy clothing and in the heat. Particularly Pranali who had to wear such a heavy wedding lengha 👏 They seriously have outdone themselves. Everyone seriously deserved those 2 days off to relax and reset. They worked so hard in Jaipur to give us a grand Abhira wedding and they fully succeeded in that ❤️

We are back to drama again 😆 and as usual Harshvardhan and Mahima 🤔 We are setting up for the Birla Household dynamics with Akshu. So should be interesting how she's going to start her journey on fitting in with the family and making a place for herself there. It's not going to be an easy task for sure. I just hope the writers give some strong tracks for Akshu's character growth.
