I know it sounds ridiculous but these things do happen... I have seen the in-laws take complete control over the girls life once the alliance is fixed... from what kinda food they can can eat, what clothes to wear ,when to speak, to who should they speak to , pretty much everything..

I remember one girl was pressurized to do nose piercing before marriage by her In-laws ,she ended up doing it even though she hated it...and I am taking about urban educated upper class family...

Now think what would be the state of a girl from not so previleged family...

Exactly,i couldn't believe that they used devika of all the people to say that... aren't they happy enough with running every other character in the show... now they made the only sensible character in the show to speak such bakwas... heights...

God I hope they end this guys character man...there is no scope for redemption... absolutely vile, pure evil...
