Manjari is doing Abhi’s arthi and Harsh tells her to speed up so that she can fix his button and that she should have planned in advance. This sets Abhi off, and he has flashbacks of all of the times he has insulted Manjari and Akshu.
No matter how much Harsh loves his son, he will never be able to win him over unless he respects the people that mean the most to him. Relationships cannot be isolated like Harsh thinks! Abhi says that Manjari will do the padgi rasam, because she has done everything for him since birth, and that this men vs. women thing needs to change — to which Mahima has no response, because she ultimately believes the same! Abhi says he wants someone to do the rasam who has wholeheartedly accepted his and Akshu’s relationship — and he is not wrong! Manjari does the rasam and she is sobbing tears of joy, but also tears of pain for what has just happened. Harsh looks happy for his son, but he goes away, also upset.
Anand goes after him, and the brothers have a heart to heart about their respective bad relationships with their kids. Neither one of them know whats wrong, but the biggest issue is that they have never tried to understand their kid’s emotions. They do love their kids, but without respect, there is nothing! Harsh says that his issues with Manjari should be separate from Abhi, but again, that is just now how relationships work. They are all bound together with a thread, which is something that Akshu holds as her ultimate truth — she is going to heal this entire family! Anand tells Harsh to stop crying like a duhlan and enjoy the shaadi. It was a cute and emotional moment!
Meanwhile Akshu is singing to her parent’s photo and also her family — sapne ne sundar mera sansaar. This girl is absolute love. She goes in a line and fixes the outfits of every single family member. She is the duhlan, but she wants her entire family to look perfect!
She then is sitting at a table looking at her parent’s photo, deeply missing them. Kairav comes and compliments her lipstick shade, and the two joke around and feed each other. Akshu says how much she misses Naira and Kartik, and Kairav says that they are always with them. These two are the closest thing they have to their parents. No matter how much Kairav may have let Akshu down, he loves her so deeply. And on this day, he is the embodiment of their parents for her!
The barat is getting ready and Abhi asks Manjari to give him a blessing. She says that may his love always be strong, may Abhira always support each other, and may every problem go easily. This scene was absolutely beautiful. He takes ashirwaad from everyone, and Manjari signals him to take ashirwaad from Harsh too. And then, the highlight of the episode…
Abhi says that at the end of the day, they are all family — no matter how much he hates Harsh, he loves him deep down. Abhi says that all their happiness is connected — something that he would have never said before he met Akshu! He is changing so much, just like she is, and they are not even married yet! Abhi says that when a girl leaves home, everyone tells her to change, but no one tells her sasuraal to adjust for her. Here, he is talking about both his mother and his soon to be wife!
Harsh says its easier for one person to change, but Shefali — who will forever have my heart — counters him and says that if everyone can change just a little, it will be happy for both the duhlan and the family. Shefali understands what its like to be a bahu, and that too for the Birlas, and I have full faith that she will support Akshu just like Akshu will support her despite the tensions that may arise.
Abhi says that their relationships won’t change, but that they should please all give Akshu a chance to win them over. Little does he know, not only will Akshu win them over, but she will also heal their entire family. She will be the string to bring them all together! And, she is already in the process of doing it!
The title track plays as the Birla kids dance and Abhi gets on the bike — the bike that has so much significance for Abhira — it was a bike like this on which he first heard her voice!!
Meanwhile Akshu is so freaking happy and nervous. She says she cannot wait to be Mrs. Akshara Abhimaniyu Birla. Pranali killed this scene!
The Goenkas are surprised that the Birlas arrive on time, and they make fun saying that they are doctors so this was bound to happen. Reem makes a joke about the Goenka’s history with varmalas and says its all good to go.
Then we get the sauda kara kara scene and it was SO GOOD. The energy was unmatched!!! Everyone killed it — especially HC and the Birla kids!! Akshu dancing along from the window was adorable — she was literally crying tears of joy seeing Abhi!
The Goenkas sing damadji pyaare to welcome Abhi, and Abhi gets teary eyed. How far they have come!! He deserves all of the love in the entire world from the Goenkas and he is getting it!
Precap is one last rasam, which Neil helps Abhi complete and then THE FIRST LOOK AT AKSHU!! They literally customized her veil to say Abhi ki Akshu!!! THE DETAILS!!!! And both of them are in tears of joy!!! Cannot wait!!
