Nah, most of them have these thick Pani Puri balls that look kinda stale and are hard to crack. Imagine a bowl of non-spicy tamarind water with little to no seasoning, onions, boiled potatoes, and half raw garbanzo beans. There is no point wasting calories on those. and decent eateries are hard to come by. About you assuming that everything is watered down for Americans here, some places definitely do that but most of the places I've been don't. They're just bland regardless. While we're on the topic, I should probably mention that Indo-Pak restaurants tend to get their seasonings right and are more flavorful in general.... it could have to do with the fact that they're meat eaters.
