What about street food like golgappa, pakore chaat and other 100 street foods? ye bhi nahi pasand?

Pani Puri is fine, but I won't ever go to a shop and order them, if I get dragged than I eat.

Nah, most of them have these thick Pani Puri balls that look kinda stale and are hard to crack. Imagine a bowl of non-spicy tamarind water with little to no seasoning, onions, boiled potatoes, and half raw garbanzo beans. There is no point wasting calories on those. and decent eateries are hard to come by. I was supposed to visit this year but I'm not sure when that'll be with the flight prices doubling up after the war.😵

About you assuming that everything is watered down for Americans here, some places definitely do that but most of the places I've been don't. They're just bland regardless. While we're on the topic, I should probably mention that Indo-Pak restaurants tend to get their seasonings right and are more flavorful in general.... it could have to do with the fact that they're meat eaters.

Pani Puri is easier to make at home as well. 😅

Flight prices are insane as if airlines don't want us to take those flights.. but some still do it who don't have a choice.

Not everything is watered down.. but they have to make alterations to fit in with the crowd that is coming to pay.😆 Some put "authentic" to give original taste.. Masala/curry is what make Indian food flavourful, which generally westeners are scared to try.

😆 That reminds me, I bought this pouch full of uncooked pani puri balls from a desi store last week thinking they're crackers. So I deep fried them and snacked on them like I would crackers... with tea! I wouldn't dig pani puris with those though. Unless you're talking about rolling your own dough with baking soda and deep frying them? Now THAT might be worth it ..... but it sucks when you spend 3+ hours making something only to polish it in 15 mins .... and then clean up and do the dishes for another hour!
