Watch clip & see Bhabhi clutching shiva again , Raavi gets pushed in bg to stand with Bhabhi Ka pati, while she claims & dances with shiva.
same Bhabhi, who didn’t even blink an eye before giving away Shiva’s everything to Dev, same Bhabhi who cared zero for Shiva’s feelings- hurt when Rishita said bad stuff to him , she didn’t feel the need to look for him neither cupped his face/ hugged him. rather went straight to dev Rishita.

had Rishita won- Bhabhi wouldn’t even turn around and look back at Shiva & his Raavi- would have gone celebrating with Rishita.
so much for Shiva-Dhara love!

When a child grows up- and especially when your child is married: you have to let them fly! Let them Prioritize their life! Else all you are doing is cutting their wings. How Dhara does all the time to Shiva. Her next chop is coming with giving away business funding Shiva won , to dev & Rishita. So she herself can be mahan.

Respect your opinion but don't agree with it. There’s huge chunk of offline viewers in my family, friends and peers who absolutely love the show and Dhara Shiva hugs too. I don't find Raavi being underwritten. They have given her an arc and which is in contrast to Shiva. That's how usually couples are written to be potrayed. Shiny falters in many emotional scenes, but her scenes with Shiva are the best ones. KD and Shiny bring out the best in each other. There's no sidelining of Raavi. The whole show gives importance to all characters in different ways. Gaumbi had his turn to shine too. My peer group loves the show and is not present online. It's okay not to like what you see, as it's okay to love what you see. Entertainment is subjective, and let's leave it at that.

I am really happy that you are able to enjoy the show, in fact, I am jealous of you because I wish I also have the same experience with this show. Dhara as a character, in my opinion, is lost. I have tried to find the warmth in Shiva and Dhara’s relationship as a mother son but I just don't see it. There is a limit to the audience's patience and it has reached that threshold. People would not mind Dhara’s character so much if she had a separate storyline with her husband but because she is involved in all the storylines when she is not needed, is draining. She is coming across as a nagging and interfering woman who can't help herself from talking.

Coming to Raavi, her POV is being shortchanged because of Dhara. There have been many times, not just in the past few episodes, where everytime Raavi is talking or voicing her opinion someone cuts her off and tells her to be quiet, mostly Dhara, Shiva or Suman. A lot of the audience identify and relate to Raavi more than any other character, so when she is shown to be standing to the side while another woman is supporting her husband it looks offensive, doesn't matter who that other woman is. The uproar about that one episode wasn't just that Shiva and Dhara hug but it was also the lack of importance to Raavi. There is no denying that it is because of Raavi that the show had its highest TRP, so why not show more importance to the show's MVP.

Once again I totally respect your opinion but I don't see what you see in Shiva and Dhara's relationship.

May be.

Good case studies of mothers , how they act with with grown up children: Anupama, Suman, any baa/ aai/ taai// amma.

Do they cup their adult children’s faces- yes. But not the way Dhara does.

Look at virat’s scenes with his aai, taai, kaku & all— you’ll see the difference.

Look at Anupama’ dot baa’d scenes with their children- you’ll see the difference.

Look at Suman’s soft scenes with Shiva, Dev, Krish, Gombi - you’ll see the difference.

In real life: look at in 40s moms: malaika Arora and her son, Madhuri & her son, So many….
you’ll see how mothers behave. No matter however modern you are.

it’s not about dressing- it’s about how you act.

Dhara’s doesn’t work: because she acts same with Gombi as she does with shiva.

(Also note: she doesn’t act that way with Krish- Leadben goes soft motherly with Krish. But misses with Shiva & dev)

I was watching an interview of urvashi (kamolika of kasauti) with her sons, She too doesn't dresses in certain motherly way.. She was also hugging & touching them.. I didn't know she had two children.. I told my friend who are these boys.. She's acting all mother to these children & she told me that they were in fact her children.. So yes.. As I said all these discussion of costume, hugs, touch is coming because we're not getting connected with what bond they are trying to show.. Otherwise it wouldn't have mattered

I've always loved Dhara, and preleap Dhara is my absolute favourite, there's no doubt about that and I love the relationship between Shiva and Dhara, in fact, Dhara and the vanar Sena in total.

But there's two reason people do not connect to her, one is of course Shiny fails to deliver the dialogues and the emotions as per the required essence and comes off more as a zombie in many of them and the other is sidelining Shivi relationship completely. Give some good shivi scenes, and let Shiny act well, I'm sure the show will be back and loved by all.

Until the recent episodes, I've always be in awe of Dhara, but the Dev Rishta track and how Shiva was totally ignored by Dhara as she begged Rishita to be back went over my head.

But, love the way you've written about them

Hey 🤗 it’s not you at all. In fact, I replied to all your points and understand from where you might be coming from.

but I feel I’d rather go back discussing it offline with people who are actually enjoying the show, and with some of us who actually left the EDT due to constant mockery for having a different pov.

I thought, I could try to discuss here but I made a huge mistake. Most of us left because of sarcasm and indirect taunts.

Actually i dont have a problem with her dressing.let her wear anything transparent sarees or not i dont care.i have a problem with her acting. when she looks into shiva ,its doesnot look like how a mother looks at her son or bhabi looks at her devar.and also dint watch so many serials but have watch some.i noticed one thing in those.there is a difference a male or female lead hugs his or her partner and brother sister in different ways.i found all the hugs here same in case of shiva and dhara.
