Women and the world of men!

Yesterday's episode exposed Sohni to the real world. Raju the union leader misbehaved, intimidated and touched her and Sohni reacted like any other woman would. She gave him a tight slap! Is this the solution? It wont take long for Raju who is bigger, bulkier and more aggressive to subdue Sohni in every way. Will women ever be able to perform in a world so entrenched in the belief that they are only meant to exist in the confines of the home and hearth?

We all experience this aspect of life in our neighbourhood, workplace and anywhere for that matter, but in different proportions. Can education and bookish knowledge change this outlook? I dont believe so. The change must begin at home with respect between spouses, siblings and the family.

"The old order changeth yielding place to new. God manifests himself in many ways lest one order should corrupt the world", thus spoke King Arthur!

I am hoping that Sohni with her inherent strength is able to overcome this persecution of her person and emerge as a stronger woman. In this ardrous journey from being daughter, student and a mere girl, I pray she finds a strong man. A man who understands, supports, loves her enough to permit her the freedom/space to find her bearings, and encourages her to fight. Its not hard you know, there are such men in this world. Only they are not easy to find!

This topic has probably been discussed at length elsewhere, but where better than our very own Grahasti forum which is growing by the day to include such interested and willing members. Come on friends, lets give this our two cents of thought and share our experiences.

Well to be very honest i like the courage and audacity of the girl to stand up against the man of that chap's personality(whatever his name is😳) 👏 👏 👏
esp when they have always been kept away from the world , so hats off to her.. 👏 👏 see to face the world is altogether different experience it doesnt matter whether your parents allowoed you to socialise or not , as if i take my example then i;ve been always a very outgoing girl..but now as i am in corporate world so i am finally understanding nd experiencing a diff wrold altogether😳..its not easy at all!you doenst know how certain people will behave the next moment ..while in your college you can pounce on anyone if you find anything wrong, while here i have to think twice before saying anything...so its very brave of Sohni 👏 👏

and great topic...chalia..like always..lil tired so probably its a very blah reply 🤢

great topic sweets...
I like the strength that soni is showing... as a woman we should be a harder ... espcialy in a male dominated world......we dont have to take everything nor we should depend on a male person....

yes raju is a stronger person but that is were his domination ends...and the only thing left is to hurt or scare her...and his bulling her proof just what a characterless and weak person the guy is....

to bad we have a lot off this kind off creeps around us... but that doesn't means we need to be afraid...

personally I am not bordered with him... what makes me angry is that the ladies off the K- fly are the once who are holding the girls form growing up and becoming stronger....

shali and nish,
i agree that sohni is a girl with a lot of pluck. Indeed she is growing faster than her family would have ever thought. I just feel sorry for the world around us. They fail to admire and cherish quality when they see it.
Nish, you are right and if you remember i told you that there are thousands of miles between college and the world out there. Stick in there girl, life teaches you a myriad of lessons during all its stages. Enjoy it while the going is good.
All the same, i am worried for poor Raunak now. He is MO's target.
