Anugun ka mandir bits were short but sweet wirh anu answering foe gun ke uska gautar bhi same as anu hai them both doinf pooja and uske baad gun asking him if papa will be OK just like a choti bachi and him assuring ke darr se rab rak daena chahiye jab tak saamne na aaya ans once it is saamne toh usse ladna chahiye and gun will do that and then itne pyaar se asking her if she ate anything.. and giving her hosla by softly tapping her shoulder ke chali pehle Khao warma who will take care of papa..baaki she was earlier saying ke usko formality karne ki zaroorat nahi toh anu was koi formality mahi kar raha zimmedari nibha raha hai haha😆 gosh woh akriti looks hideous in her suhagan Roop out of her bridal outfit yuck..

Aaj I saw yjn and usme kahal armaan aur dia ka saamna ho gaya and dia ko armaan ne bata dia mwri ex wife hai and how do you know her awkwq3d ho gaye..and ab dia madam is how can I break my dosti toh he is like you do not care about my feelings and quit the job toh ab niklenge morche ke toxic hai in 3.2.1 while all armaan is saying is quit he job the episode was so rushed and majne peeche 3, 4 din mahi delha toh aur hi all iverrhe placemat rahatha pehle pda it a co foet a d itna familiarity and fairy and then bam fight haha dia bohat hi fake sugary sweet zone main hai aur hi fake kaete jaa rahe hain isko but ehh jisko zara koi inkling nahi hai kisi baat ki..ajewb sa caricature sa bana dia hai

Heard the album of jayeshbhaai jordaar and it is really refreshing and nice . A + FOR ORIFINAL MUSIC but not only that having meaningful lyrics and a nice soothing compositions . Special mention of main dheere dheere seekh jaoonga .. and dil di galli. And then I am toh just smiling at the concept of firecracker that is a father singing for his daughter. Aww

Lol KJ bhaiyya ne phir se “businessman” wala role pakad liya and again with FL having a baccha 😆…..ab isi tokenism ko “progressive” label karengi fangirls even when story will be usual half baked nonsense 😆

Thanks for the WU yaar. Lol at Ardiya finally knowing about Kajal. Chalo bhai ispe baith ke bhi lad lo ab. Mehh. I’ve totally lost interest in the show from the moment Diya ka yeh new bahu wala makeover kar diya and her doing lame kitchen politics with saas. Show ki core story ka toh koi connection hi nahin dikh raha ab. Lol

Haan aaj aise hi dekh lia bas saara din dono isi baat pe sugary sweet fake faces bana ke karti hain indirect ladayi je admaan kiski sunega.. jaise maa ke paas aa ke bhaitha tha as she was pretending to be sick so she could call dia back from her PF and then dia aayi toh bhaag gaya meh kaafi blah tha acywt the break

Exactly. Mujhe bhi iska woh previous show with Aneri yaad aaya about illegitimate baccha 😆…..pehle apne illegitimate bacche ko paala tha aur is story mein kisi aur ka illegitimate baccha paalega. Finished watching Gangubai finally.

Definitely a career defining role for Alia and she nailed it. Bhansali makes a lot of grandiose films where his heroines are shown with swords or guns but mostly end up just being cosmetic ornaments....lol.....but this whole movie revolves around Gangubai orchestrating things so in that sense Alia lucked out way more than Bhansali's other muses whose main job is to just look pretty and dance while politics swirl around them😆.

I think it really helped the film that the plot was all centralized in one location of those lanes of Kamathipura.....unlike other recent SLB films that tried to cover a variety of locations/backdrops.....here you are just consumed by the world of Kamathipura - the trials, tribulations, the politics all centralized and it helps anchor the narrative better.

Bhansali can dress up a lot of things in his films with grand costumes, makeup, songs etc....but if you don't have the raw material in you, it will show.....Alia was dismissed so much as baby-faced when this movie was announced but she shows her power as an actor at multiple points in the film - of particular note are the Azad Maidaan speech she gives and her confrontations with Razia bai....she was quite good in her scenes with Ajay Devgan's character too - very effective use of a cameo there by Bhansali. All of the supporting cast was well used - made their impact in barely 1-2 scenes also. Who would have guessed that baby-faced Alia ends up being believable as a matriarchal figure in this story too with the way she's shown caring for the women of her brothel as well as their children. Shantanu did quite well in his role too with that tragic brief romance he gets with Gangu.

I guess what I liked was that after a long time I saw a Bhansali movie that had a tight narrative...it wasn't meandering around or abruptly jumping narrative wise in a jerky manner.

Just watched this IV today....it's better enjoyed after watching the movie cuz they talk about some scenes in detail that connect better after watching the film......for example the telephone call to Gangu's mom was another brilliant performance from Alia.

LOL@ the obligatory guest appearance from Ranveer😆....

I do agree with SLB's point about the power in Alia's eyes making her apt for this role.....the contrast of her petite frame with the power she is able to convey from her eyes - and I'm not talking typical power....there were many shades of power over the course of the story.....that is what Alia nailed in the role. But yeah she is justifiably happy after the high praise from SLB who's calling her his current fav. actor and hailing this as one of the all time memorable performances of Indian cinema😆
