But i don't see how Varun Dhawan can't pull it off and again when I saw the movie all that his character required is a good splash of eyeliner and a bit of lloud acting which I mentioned he is good at doing.

I think the only disagreement is "Ranveer proved his mettle in subtlety through Lootera". That is really far fetched. Lootera was a movie where he got outperformed by the lead actress from start to end.

"Ranveer with little tweaks can play a Rajneeti or a YJHD".

Characters like the one in Rajneeti require subtle acting and so far I have not even seen a TV advertisement where Ranveer singh convincingly do that. It's like me saying Ranbir can do Padmaavat with "little tweaks".

Bro, I disagree. I stated my points in a previous reply.

The fact that Ranveer is consistently being used as benchmark for every poll is telling 🤗Ranveer is a better actor than Ranbir and Varun IMO.

I used to consider Ranbir a better actor than Ranveer, but Ranveer has just been brilliant in every movie he has done. You can harp about how the role was made for him and keeping his limitations on mind, but a lot of acting is not just method - the best of actors are able to balance method acting with spontaneity which Ranveer does really well. Plus his energy is at a different level when it comes to dance numbers.

Ranbir is brilliant when he is on screen - but it's hard to side with him when all we have seen of him post Sanju is a few ads and Brahmastra twitter pics. The volume of movies has to increase else he will never be able to stake claim as a great actor or even a superstar

And calling Ranveers bhansali movie performances as putting eyeliner and speaking loudly is the same as calling Ranbir's performance in Tamasha as growing a goatie and crying. It's unfair and biased

Gully Boy ka naam suna hain? Chaman thread, chaman opinion upar se chaman ignorance😆.

I also consider Ranbir better actor, lekin iska matlab yeh nahi ki aankhon Mai patti banke, Varun se compare Karo Ranveer ko.

Posted this before.Ranveer is very versatile and has the risk appetite to experiment with different genres and roles. But he struggles with being subtle. He's the best at being the quintessential Hindi film hero All alpha male with plenty of swag.

Ranbir on the other hand can really plumb the depths of his character and excels at being subtle. But he'll only work with established production houses, successful directors etc. He wasn't so afraid to experiment at the beginning of his career. And he keeps taking these long breaks to unwind. Ranbir could have done Ranveer's character in Lootera in a blink -without letting Sonakshi steal all the limelight. But Ranveer couldn't have managed the subtle menace and the malicious glee in his eyes which Ranbir brought to Rajneeti.

Varun is somewhere between the two. He's more talented than Ranveer. But has a tendency to go overboard unless he's reined in. He also lacks the experience of the above two and hasn't worked with many talented directors. He's completely a Director's actor. You could mould him as you like. At this point in his career, he should work more rather than being too selective if he wants to catch up.

That said Sonakshi Sinha was the best thing about both Lootera and Kalank and left the heroes far behind.

I'll stick with Raja Sen's opinion on Ranveer - "electrocuted monkey" 😆

Can I share my opinions even if you didn’t ask? Thank you!

1. Hrithik is not attractive

2. Aish is the most annoying actress on screen ever

3. SRK and Bhoi should retire

4. The boob-show actresses are doing these days is super gross

"Ranveer has just been brilliant in every movie he has done"---That's. just a flat out lie more than an opinion.

"the best of actors are able to balance method acting with spontaneity which Ranveer does really well"---I haven't said anything about Ranveer not being able to play those roles. In my opinion thats his strength and only strength.

"The volume of movies has to increase else he will never be able to stake claim as a great actor or even a superstar"-----First part is absolutely wrong but second part is right.

"Ranbir's performance in Tamasha as growing a goatie and crying"-----There was a hell of a lot more to act for an actor portraying a personality disorder than the "energy" in bhansali performance in my opinion.
