💯 Agree ..a simple question, chalo Anu maan makes and serv tea, coffee as if it's her own home..but then why doesn't she also sits and join them to enjoy the tea herself...won't that be normal thing to do...

I stopped this serial long back because it became way too regressive for me.. copying here my thoughts from another thread.

they can't normalise staying in abusive X sasural after divorce as maid for forever, because real life main Anu, Vanraj, Kavya, Baa and Bapuji milenge but not Anuj Kapadia.

I am always concerned about those naive housewives, mother and grandmother who watch this serial and have very limited exposure to life outside there house. And sad part is, most of them think they will learn something from this serial..

Very simple example, they could have shown Anu to pamper herself with facial, pedicure, manicure from salon. Why because it's her marriage and obviously she can afford it. Why show it being done at home and re-inforce the thinking that women should not spend on themselves.. why, man why?

There are bigger issue which I would rather not talk but then so many small small issues...it's too much... another example can be serving like maid and never sitting and eating on same table with others, Kavya and Pakhi does but never Anu..

I recall another serial where men are served like this but in that at least all women used to serve them first and later all women will sit together and eat..still far far better than this ..

can't Pakhi ever help her at least in getting the dish from kitchen to table. Why don't they show Toshu getting a plate of fruit from kitchen for Kinjal.. damn, I don't want these things to become norm, so damn regressive. .. IRL even maid or househelp get more help and respect than Anu so called Beti...

Done with my rant.... I don't miss the serial, good riddance but do miss the discussion.. unfortunately these days not able to bring myself to read or enjoy even the FF/OS on MaAn here ☹️☹️

I can totally understand..my mother is home maker and has limited exposure to outside world.. Any serial I play on TV here first words are I will learn something..as if it's her window to outside world..

Call me Hitler, protective or possessive.. I found my ways long back to stop her from watching this serial..wasn't much difficult as I have the remote and except Radha Krishna, she is very accommodating...so, only serial now we see on TV is Radha Krishna..

This serial is giving now very wrong message to society.. simple example one should respect elders but not silently take abuse like Baa does.....

And yes, at time I too felt ashamed of watching this serial, now I have stopped..but am still amazed by positivity in people who still find good things to talk about it..

IRL too I fell for personality than looks..so in a way I was never in for GK but was for Anuj. So once Anuj character got butchered I was finally able to get over both GK/AK.

On separate note, while I can understand it's there job but I don't like RG/GK promoting this serial anymore..they are as wrong as SP..it's not family show, no character is worth following...like RG asked her fans to feed dogs..I want her to call in interview that woman should give back to Baa and leave the Shah house, all this is serial drama but not role model....at least Aparna and Ashish do so in their interview.

Because anupama has taught her kids to be helpless mommis boys/girl. Remember when they came back from resort? She was supposed to be recovering from her cancer surgery, but as soon as she got home and asked to make tea, everybody started firing orders at her. Rakhi's expression was spot on , she looked pained and amused. But our beloved naagin still ordered black coffee without sugar, easiest thing to make that day.
