Everything apart...

BK really represented how deep patriarchy and misogyny runs in the society.

1. She asked Devi / her only child to not interfere in family matters. Disowning her just because she is married.

2. She over the years has pretended to be caring and loving to Mansi, but really had only considered her as an additional member to feed in a grand household.

3. Samrat, who she claimed to be like her son was discarded in a matter of minutes, when his standing as that of a person living in a maternal house is questioned.

4. Praised Karishma, Sonali and Pakhi for choosing to stay at home inspite of being educated, making it seem like a woman's education is just to secure a well educated/rich husband and that they shouldnt be thinking of making a career for themselves.

5. Even the cherished male heir and his feelings matter until and unless he falls in line with the set ideals.

And all of this because Pakhi gave her a huge ego boost... sided with her and constantly reminded her of her status as "Mukhiya" (imp to note that its a masculine noun)

BK represented all those women who have imbibed patriarchal mindset so much that they fail to think from their own gender perspective.

Women who do not think twice about beating, abusing their own daughters and daughters in law.

Women who go to the doctors who can tell them the gender of the unborn child.

Who do not think of killing an innocent life for honour/ for failing to fall in line.

All so that the lofty family name is held up high... It was patriarchal, chauvinistic, regressive, misogynistic, dictatorial... all at once. Adjectives fail me.

Agar is mudde ko Vanku ek acchi anjaam tak nahin pahoonchayega to bahut bada nuksaan hoga. Because this the worst they have served so far. They better give a positive message to the TRP viewers

Absolutely!

That's why it would be great to see Virat standing with Sai on this issue. He has done it before.

Fingers crossed!

Absolutely... 👍🏼

This is partly why I liked why they have taken it up.

Sai Joshi will win definitely... Whether she has V with her in this journey or not is a different matter.

And whether she fights it as Sai Joshi or Sai Chavan will be interesting to see.

In the end, even if it manages to spark a conversation and open few eyes, it would be an achievement.

And Sai Joshi, the character will forever be remembered for having the guts to fight this. ❤️

If Vanku does this the way I am envisaging this... Then he truly loves Sai. 👏

Yes you captured all those regressive things that women do to another women.

I think if they make Virat's character refute all this trash then it will be an eye opener to the audience. What I feel is ITV needs to hit the bull eye by bringing this up in the households who turn on to watch the shows. I am pretty sure there will be as section of people who identify with BK, then if the ML or FL or any positive character rebukes her badly, then the message also hits these people.

However, the dismissal should be strong. Like Sai dismisses it. Or Virat should give a strong bashan kind of thing to drive the point home.

I hope the makers will make sure to bring out what BK spoke is utter rubbish. I really hope there is a purpose to show this and it is fulfilled in a right way. If they make Virat accept this nonsense, then they will lose many loyal followers of the show like me! The basic premise of the plot goes wrong. There are minimal chances for this however, because Virat is already made equivalent to her father when it is concerned with her dream. So lets see.

But I remember Gurmeet doing also winning JDJ while doing Punarvivah on Zee tv. Idk if there's anyone else.
