Mate, even Anu Malik showed more creativity when he was lifting songs, all it took to come up with "Bollywood" is to change the H to a B, if you think that would've taken them months to come up with, then it must've been Lallu brainstorming with his pack of monkeys. 😆

Well, you see, the rules of the world outside the confines of your school are different. What flies in real world where the big boys play doesn't for school going kids and vice versa. There's a difference between copying someone's paper vs derivatives of names anyway. That's such a terrible example.

Yeah, what was your second point about? Basically, you think derivatives of Hollywood, both the name and the content, lack originality. But who says that it has to be entirely "original" without touching on Hollywood? Does the name of the movie industry have brownie points to bag for "originality" ??? I genuinely happen to think it's a great name. Is it only me? Geez.

On the other hand, I think Bollywood movies, so many of them, are straight up bad copies of Hollywood movies and that's something the industry needs to work on. The industry is creatively bankrupt at the moment with so many remakes and revamps. Now that's where I actually value originality. The name "Bollywood" doesn't bother me one bit.

I don't mind the name, it's a household name for every desi now. I've never been a fan of people kicking up a fuss over names of companies, industries, or even countries, that are already well established and are doing perfectly fine as is.

I already acknowledged the whole Bombay and British regime baggage the name comes with but beyond that, I find the extra emphasis on "originality" totally pointless. I think that emphasis should be directed to the actual content of the movies/songs Bollywood produces cuz that's what compromises originality in the true sense in my opinion.

You just don't want to accept that Bollywood is plain copy of Hollywood and nothing creative about it. I guess baki sab bhi yaha agreement mai hai. Lambe lambe messages likhne se defend nahi hone wala. #butwhatcanwedoaboutit jehlna to padega Bollywood name🤷🏻‍♂️.

Ofcourse industry is lazy and creatively bankrupt that's not even for debate.
