It's significance is that all boundaries between them are dissolved? (antarpat)

And there was another riyual of bride & groom touching their forehead on either side of the pot..what is that?

Yeah.. kind off .. good catch...

The other ritual was a bit different.. didn't happen at my wedding. So can't say.

The bride holds the kalash in her hands during Mangalashtaka. Then keeps it near the groom's feet after it ends.

There are usually two sisters on either side called 'Karavli'... One holding aarti thaali and other something else (can't remember).

After the Mangalashtaka ends, varmala is done and the sisters alternatively do Aarti and use water from this kalash to put some drops on the bride and groom's eyes.

Don't know why.. will have to ask.

This touching foreheads is probably again cinematic liberty. It happens but later during Kanyadaan symbolising transfer of responsibility of the bride to the groom. Probably they mixed it for some reason 😉

I hope they take the story in their own from this point . Bring angles of abhiman .. 2 idealistic partners invested in their careers

issues like family demanding heir from career bahu

rather than lifting plots of KD

Because KD from this point or even before ….like start of shruti track is totally dependent on Rono

Rishi Kaushik played it very well… ( it was totally his show these episodes ) he was ambivalent., he could show the track without being negative ..

You were angry with him and disappointed but did not hate him .. ..

Virat has not been shown so well .. he appears weak , whining and pig headed .. there is no idealism in his behaviour

the creatives should understand that and develop tracks which plays up to the strength of both their lead actors ..

Angles like possessiveness.. are done very well by NB .. they should do those tracks

They took cinematic liberty by making them have an eye contact during Mangalashtaka. Technically the bride and groom cannot see each other until itbis dropped.

The groom is already in the mandap, antarpat is raised and bride enters form other side.

Mangalashtaka ends at exact muhurta and then the cloth is dropped which is when they see each other for the first time.

I guess the bangla parallel is the bride holding betel leaves in front of her face.

Telugu weddings we have Terasala or addutera (blocking screen) . Same thing like here, where it covers the bride and groom. When the screen is removed, They look at each other while placing a mixture of jeera jaggery paste on each other heads!
It is the most Romantic part of the wedding

Antarpat is the cloth that blocks the couple from looking at each other.

Ghum took it's creative liberty by giving us eyelocks 😂

Antarpat signifies -

Cloth is held in between first - they are individuals and their lives are different.

Cloth removed - Now two souls have become one. It is like they are now on the same journey.

I replied before reading this. 😂

Double double ho gya!

Anyways I was looking out for your post of antarpat look. Lost it.

But uiiii uiiii uiiii.

You too saw what I saw 😊

Hayyeee!!! That blush 😍😍😍😍

I love Sai's heart eyes from Tum tak, especially the overhead shot when she places her hand over his forehead.

Was waiting for that look again. And antarpat gave it 🥰

When Sai looked down, V's expressions too changed. Did you notice?

NB and Ayesha were really good there! Nailed it.

Sai blushed when the antarpat was about to be removed.

Timing!

Waise @moor I realised one thing as I'm rewatching the episode 😆 especially the mangalashtak 😂

Samrat holding the antarpat for Sai V is symbolic.

If P tries to interfere in their lives, Samrat will be their shield.

I hope makers do some justice with Samrat's character. And yogi is good. Thoda usse bhi accha substance dena chahiye.

Another thing - the time when V says they have to do Shivani's kanyadan, V joins his hands and quickly bows. I don't know if this was planned or impromptu. But it's kinda a regular habit if we are leaving some puja or havan in middle we quickly bow our head in apology.

To me it looked something like that.

Absolutely nailed it 😃

That's why i say, these two don't need intimate scenes... Aankhon se hi bahot kuch keh dete hai.

I made a comment on that eyelock yesterday...

That V looked at her as if 'you don't know what you are in for, i have so much to tell you, to express to you and to love you. His heart was bursting with happiness' . It was a beauty.

And Sai legit blushed... Sab samajh gai... ☺️. V also realised ki vo samajh gai 😉

Bacchhi badi ho gai... Ufff

Oh wow... That's a good take.

I wanted Sunny to do it because he has been an ardent supporter. But yours make sense too.

The bow i didn't notice. Phirse dekhti hun 😆

Edit: the bow seemed like taking a break... But not like Apology for leaving.
