I agree... I mentioned this to someone else too.

V cannot be possessive... certainly not at this stage. That sort of behaviour is okay in the initial days when its a excited eager phase.

V has had this feeling since long (5 years in ghum verse)... has handled 2 rejections and her leaving him. multiple fights.

He showed possessiveness and it led to Ajinkya drama.. and Devkit hand holding kaand. and then locking in the room. all ended with worser situations. so no he cannot be knowingly possessive now, is my feeling.

It is also why he was more subdued in his response to her confession today. Until he heard it in full, he was eager but the moment he heard it, it was relief and contentment. I would have loved a passionate response but this worked for me too.

I wonder what and how they'll show.

My honest opinion - channel and makers should allow Ghum take its own course.

Now Shruthi kand in KD as stated is probably after 1 year of wedding plus confession and consummation.

Ghum has already messed it up with 5-6 years leap.

If they show Virat as possessive now, it will only look comical.

Plus I also feel with time characters should evolve as multi-dimensional - remake or original.

It's 2022 and KD was 2012.

I feel with time and relevance makers and channel should take some liberties.

Vanker hasn't got the guts to show some good creativity.. He only has escalated the negativity from original..

Must say rajen took Leena's story to a different level which vanker failed..

If he had added some creativity in shruti track it would have been hit just like the ajinkya kaand..vanker replaced it with accident instead of suicide..

A husband can be possessive even after marriage...virat has shown different demands over the course of time..now he might have more demands from Sai..

Right now they should enjoy their marital bliss for sometime before heading on to another drama..

However it takes an intelligent writing to elevate Leena's creation

I have mentioned this several times - Ghum makers are not great with drama. They don't know how to sustain audience attention.

Shahi is another level. That's why the popularity and consistency.

I don't expect anything extraordinary from Vankar or anyone but my only point is if the characters are taking their own course, the writers should lay back and write the way the characters want to be written. It's a very "writer's" philosophy. This really happens if you've been working on a piece for a long period of time.

If they approach it with this attitude, trust me V's character will grow into something really special.

But one needs to take that risk.

I really feel here everyone is stuck between remake, creativity, constraints, etc etc etc

For creativity to flourish, decision makers have to be very clear.

Ghum precisely lacks clarity.

Everything from pace to plotline is a mess.

Standard timeline to run any track is around 50 episodes. Iske baad audiences lose interest.

Shruthi track literally went on for eternity. And confession toh nearly 500 episodes. 😂

You are right

That's not the exact truth.. Because most of us made a peace with vanker will never show beyond anything kd.. 😆

We have requested gazillion times to omit shruti track because all knew he will mess it up.. The kidnapping drama is still not out ..

Vanker messed up big time by making Sai too white and wrapping up time lines..

Even today there was no connection between past and present.. Virat says he wanted to confess on anniversary but we were shown he was about to declare his love on holi..

Kaun likhta hai yeh sab

See its fine if they wanna show BK oppose Sai's career again because now she is wife and not deal n she has expectations of bahu/vaaris etc. But why to introduce that toxicity in the middle of a special few episodes of happy Sairat reconciliation, confession, remarriage?!

They can do the same stuff, bk nonsense after a good 2-3 episodes also na...

Why interrupt the pheras for this?!

As it is Sairat are not getting a full shaadi with other rasams of haldi, mehendi, sangeet etc. Atleast let them take their pheras peacefully.

It's a nuisance to watch their love for toxicity. They know how much fans have waited. Heck, even NB abd Ayesha have given bytes on how its been nice to shoot a happy reconciliation track . So why not just stay with that mood for 3 episodes atleast before the new kaand.

Its exhausting to watch this.

My only point is makers should stop copying KD blindly. Whenever they've done, they did it at wrong time. And Sairat's story loses momentum in this.

Agar original thoda accha de sakte hai toh why copy blindly?

The problem with Ghum as I see it is ...they are hesitant to make VIrat like KD character, but are not committing to deviating from i either...so they are neither here nor there. Even if there was a channel guideline to follow kD, they could have done a better job with Virat - look how well they did with Sai.

And even the drama, the side characters, it seems like makers are afraid of taking the risk. Money is involved afterall. So they are sticking to drama & toxicity to gain attention along with tried & tested routes. It is like how movie producers often stick to a formula - dance+fight+romance+item song+sentiment. It is working reasonably for them in TRP chart, so why would they change? Lot of times, it does into ridiculous territory like the was DevKIt track was writtten and the recent illogical reasoning behind team Sai's 180 degree turn - stil the audience laps it up!

I guess it all comes down to the skill of the writer. Ghum writers may even be good writers as such, but it takes another skill to write an engaging script in daily soaps. Rajan must be hiring the best of writers....Ghum PH lacks that.

P.S. Please keep the technical insights into writing coming. I enjoy reading about it. 😊

Antarpat is the white cloth they held between bride and groom during Mangalashtaka.

Antar(distance) pat(here it's means cloth/barrier).

They took cinematic liberty by making them have an eye contact during Mangalashtaka. Technically the bride and groom cannot see each other until itbis dropped.

The groom is already in the mandap, antarpat is raised and bride enters form other side.

Mangalashtaka ends at exact muhurta and then the cloth is dropped which is when they see each other for the first time.

I guess the bangla parallel is the bride holding betel leaves in front of her face.
