PREQUEL ??? Watch it at your own peril....

When I read somewhere that Anupama and V had such nice chemistry in the first epi of this prequel I decided to watch. It was at my own peril !!!!🤢 😭 😡

Oh, I love Rupali's acting and was keen to see how she was dealing with her scenes.

But seeing her mouth such atrocities - amounting to that a woman's place is at home, if not in the kitchen only - with such a sweet face and an apparently totally understanding / accepting attitude not only made me super-angry but also made me realise that the makers REALLY HAVE NOT UNDERSTOOD a thing about women's emancipation. And how to tell a story nicely.

They call it entertainment right from the opening screen - but it's sheer torture !!

And the story is such a lie already: there they show that Anupama is actually in love with V (can't write his full name, too angry), comparing their relation to Radha-Krishna

Whereas in the current track she was telling Anuj how her wedding day at that time went entirely over head and the days thereafter were actually one long drab. Meaning, no question of loving that chap whatsoever.

And V on his part also said in a promo that he actually did not love Anupama for he already had a girlfriend etc. blabla.

Then the precap of epi 2 shows her dancing away to glory on a love song to V - yuck yuck yuck 🤢🤢🤢

And then it said somewhere that Anupama gives up her idea of going to America because of her pregnancy. Never heard of giving birth to a child elsewhere???

WHERE, in Heaven's name, IS ENTERTAINMENT in all this rubbish??

I feel so sad for Rupali and gang that they have had to do such a dumb, nonsense, totally negative story.

The only redeeming elements in the OTT track of epi 1: Anupama's Moti Ba (that is, Bapuji's mom, na) and the lovely sari Anu wears to go to a party.

I am just curious to see how Anuj turns up at the show - then FF to the END....

@bold: It could be that she fell in love with V after the wedding. So with the time lapse she got married around 2005 still in arranged marriage the girl doesn't have to love the guy they can fall in love after marriage.

@bold & @italic: It's possible that at that time brides don't get involved with the preparation for the marriage unlike now in 2022.

@bold, @italic & @underlined: Apparently Shahs may have wanted the child to be born at their house (India) just like how they want Kinjal to give birth to her child while living at Shah house. Yeh sab Indian families mein bahut hota hai!

There is no Entertainment I agree, they are showing Anupama's story 17 years back.

Problem is not that families in india don't do this

Problem is them constantly showing regressive stuff and pushing regressive agenda in the name of being progressive

At least OTT should not accept such stuff, it is one place where ITV has been bold and forward looking. A prequel is still a different show, they don't need to follow exactly what happened, they can change stuff around

Watching the prequel will be a torture, I knew it since it was announced.

This is one of the biggest reason I have lost trust in makers. If they can invest so much time resources in it thinking this will entertain people, what they plan to show in the actual series ( we can imagine)

Prob thats why all attention to SH. The actual hero is given sautela treatment as if he is there for short span of time so why to invest in him.

Instead of entertainment, this show makes me sad. Being a true Maan fan, it breaks my heart to see so much talent going down the drain in the absence of proper story line.
