But in rest of the world, them losing subscribers is not because of content but because of the price of subscription. It's higher than what we pay in India. They need to really lower their prices if they want to retain subscribers abroad.

They have got some fabulous movies in their kitty - Haseen Dilruba, Gangubai etc.And they seem to be making a push with more Regional content(enormous promotions for Minnal Murali during Christmas) and enticing new customers with lowered rates. But with shows like Fabulous lives of Bollywood Wives and Bombay Begums, their streaming content is still targeting a niche audience. Amazon is still surviving on new seasons of Family Man and Mirzapur which have a wider audience.

Way too many competitors are trouble for Netflix. So many platforms now and everyone wants to start their own. It's like dish channels now with so many players in the market. The Indian content/offering is not great from Netflix. But I hope they survive as their collections overall is unmatchable.

Read Americans complaining about too much woke content..many state that as their main reason for moving away from Netflix

Instead of chasing film makers Netflix and asking them to come up with series they should look at some TV people who are capable of coming up with good content.

There are many tv serial creators who are capable of giving good content but not finding space on Television because the tv audience is not ready to consume anything other than saas babhu sagas and mythology.


Netflix Latin American content is quite entertaining which combine strong content soap opera very well.

I'm sure Indians can also come up with such content.

Netflix Tamil content is much better than Hindi. Malayalam is mostly movies and they are good too.

Telugu doesn't seem to look at Netflix right now. But that might change in near future.

BW has a sorta 'Reverse Midas Touch'. Jiss bhi section ko BW "explore" aka invade karta hai...in the long run it manages to turn it into dust. Happened with the music industry, to some extent even the ad industry, fashion industry, reality shows, "social causes" etc etc. It will manage to do the same with streaming platforms as well.



Koi bhi nayi cheez ho inko sab mai ghusna hai.

And abhi toh yeh log efforts bhi nahi daalte. Bass ek hit formula miljaaye toh usse hi ragad ragad ke uska bhi essence nasht kar dete hai.

She seems to have quite a stronghold having worked for both CBS and Warner Bros. She took over as global head content only during the pandemic. Mast makhan lagowify is happening here. Say what you want, KJO has reach and presence and will dip into his own pockets to keep the banner of nepo kids running. It's us audience who have to suffer watching/avoiding their garbage through it all.
