my mother and I are like this, we don’t watch tv much but if we watch few episodes of a show and find it mildly interesting, we have to watch the last episode to know the end. And our house help, would have generally watched all the episodes, so she fills in the gaps for us

in a way yes, in the movie Troy’s team was insecure seeing his attraction towards Gabriella and in the show, Manik’s friends were insecure of Nandini
Also, Troy’s father was a person of authority in the school and in the show, Manik’s family owned the college
