They have done it before, Jasmin was supposed to be play naagin, they event show her as naagin in the first teaser, but changed the script, killed Nayantara, give her costume (white naagin) to Brinda (yellowish black naagin).

this happens in every season. I was very well knew in the beginning that brinda will be the ultimate lead of the show. Considering her popularity across multiple countries. They will not bring her without making her naagin. But i really hoped they kept nayan as naagin too than messing up with the story. They could have showed nayan and brinda working together but inorder to glorify brinda they nullified her character itself.
