I know this may sound crazy but you have to give them credit for sticking to this theme. Abhi even said it in one of his dialogues not one function or holiday celebration ever goes smoothly between the Birlas and Gonekas.

But, sad mehendi parallel is also possible! Somehow I think that he won't be there when the cops show up and appear right as she is being handcuffed or something to save her... maybe this will be after they have fought + this will once again show that something bad happens to Akshu every time they fight...
