Everyone on this forum assumed that Deepika was going to pull some attention seeking stunt. The assumption wasn’t made to mock heterosexuality, or married women or women with depression. It was made specifically about the person Deepika based on how everyone has perceived her to be. Same with Ayan. No one is mocking the LGBTQ community or Ayan for being gay. People are making jokes at Ayan’s expense specifically because it’s long been accepted as an open secret that he’s in love with Ranbir.

It has become a new trend among Ranbir fans here to interpret any mention of his equation with Ayan as some kind of a homophobic attack. I’m curious as to whether this just a “let me defend my favorite” tactic or some sort of projection on their part.

Seriously.....its like the white people chirping in the BLM...that white lives matter too.....no one mocks heterosexuality....we all know that...

Of course when homosexuality is used as an insult or to mock some one it is mocking the LGBTQ community...its like Aunty being used to mock a person for her age and then someone quips....oh Aunty is not an abuse ...of course even the mildest word becomes an abuse when the INTENTION is to insult...it is all about the INTENTION....we are in 2022.....and there is a community that is still being hounded and mocked for who they are...I have said this before....the least we can do is not encourage those who are mocking them...

OK, fair enough. I definitely shouldn’t have used heterosexuality as an example here. My bad.

My argument however stands. Ayan isn’t being mocked because he’s homosexual. He’s being mocked for supposedly being hung up on Ranbir all these years. That’s what the INTENTION is. His homosexuality isn’t being used as in insult. His supposed inability to move on from Ranbir is being used as an insult. What you are arguing here is that Ayan is all about his homosexuality, that’s his personality, that’s his likes and dislikes, and he’s nothing else outside of being gay. Think about that for minute before trying to accuse others of being insulting or homophobic.

I will accept that for you, I know even though you don't like Alia-Ranbir...you are one of the logical and reasonable members here...and that is why probably except Biru-Alia....we don't clash on other topics...😆one of the reasons that I react to ur posts more than similar posts from other members.....but on most part it is the homosexuality mocking that goes on.....and it really does hurt a whole community...Its really not about Biru-Alia...I do feel bad for homosexuals being mocked in general too..
