i dont think we need the written updates anymore anee! but thank you and everyone else who has religiously kept us up to date with the happenings on the show by taking the time to grind through the episodes and write our these WU. 🤗

onto the episode 472:

a clean set-up to the memory return scene with a decent utilisation of characters.

Pushpa Ji spitting on santu's face and urmilla covering her own Lmao.

like I said in my other post, I dont understand the case/ resolution/ who the victim/villain was so I am going to refrain from giving any sort of commentary for this one. the only two things I wanna say is that, like many of us and my masumiyat felt, cheetah was hella annoying when he kept taunting her about being his fan. it was highly hypocritical of him considering the fact that in episode 42 he was also fanboying over the actor (forgot his name) who turned out to be an a douchebag and had insulted Pushpa Ji publically. we didn't see anyone calling him out for his choices. in the end, she did come through for her team and tried to get his truth out so there's nothing to whine about. just like jealousy wasn't an excuse for Pushpa Ji to do what she did to get this film role, his crush isn't an excuse for his unprofessional behaviour in this and the past couple of cases. the character contrast here couldn't be more obvious here. he constantly lets his personal feelings get in the way of his work while she doesn't and excels at keeping them separate. oh dang, my masumiyat has grown up, *tear drops*.

secondly, I agree and disagree with Karishma that tolerating someone's wrongdoing is a crime just as much as committing wrongdoings. yes, one should not keep mum and support that person. but it also depends on the context of what is happening. by this, I mean talking about things along the lines of abusive relationships (there are a lot of physiological factors to consider).

this didn't occur to me earlier but why does bulbul still have urmilla's identity card? the girl really just left it with him. like how is she going back to Mumbai? dont they have to show proof of identification when travelling in India?

I cant believe I am saying this but bulbul came off smarter than all of MPT combined. he managed to figure out that this wasn't haseena malik despite their best efforts within like a total of five episodes. here our beloved MPT who have been with her for almost three months before she became amnesic couldn't figure out she was really haseena. all I can say is, uff! yeh bewakoofi wali masumiyat.

I am glad the farewell scene was not meant to be emotional because it would have been an utter waste of screentime and made the last farewell seem even more redundant than it was. it was a funny scene I will admit that. histrionic even but in a good way. the reason was a decent one and I liked how they have acknowledged all of this coming to an end adn needing to move on (i will come back to this).

I agree with anee and Komal I think, that it was the allure of the uniform's power more than anything else that was stopping her from leaving. not saying that she isn't attached to MPT but the defining factor of her stay would be the uniform, name and fame that came with it rather than the people. it was the latter then she wouldn't have had that first farewell scene. besides, urmilla didn't have many bonding scenes with them after memory loss.

the best part about this scene? it marks the end of urmilla mahadev mathre. sincerely, GOODBYE, TATA, ADIOS, SAT SRI AKAL, NAMASTE, AU REVOIR, SELAMAT TINGGAL, ZAI JIAN, VARUKIREN. I hope we never see you again, thank you.

and and and, how can i forget giving a round of applause to gulki for her versatile acting. she carried this entire urmilla stuff with the kind of dedication that is truly admirable.

urmilla taking the uniform was another roll my eyes moment. but I understand it as urmilla being her childish, rebellious and insensitive self. it was also a set-up to the memory returning plot point. IDK who said it but I agree that it was one of their last remains of haseena which should have been rightfully given to Noor Jahan. speaking of which, has nobody informed her?

bulbul Pandey should get suspended after this. urmilla revealing the truth to him had me facepalming. I had to keep reminding myself that this was urmilla Mahadev Mathre and not Haseena malik. she is going to regret throwing Karishma and MPT under the bus later. but again, a clean set-up to the most-awaited sequence.

the highlight of the episode for me was the jail scene. that was the scene that spelled out - this is it, it's over. it was like they finally had a moment to breathe and process everything that has happened in the last three to four months. haseena is dead, anubhav is dead, haseena's look-alike has left, the mission is over and the killers have been apprehended (i think). this was basically the kind of scene have been talking about - a scene where everyone is being honest about their feelings (accept Karishma, I can't tell if she really wasn't missing urmilla or was trying to convince herself), accepting that maddam sir is really gone (the fact they can openly say this now and not shy away from the topic is huge character development), admitting that there is a void and encouraging each other to move on starting with coming clean to their higher up. they have given up and are ready to give up but madam sir will come back. once again, their world will turn upside down so this scene, this breathing room was really needed.

I liked the direction choice for having this scene take place in a jail cell. I had two interpretations for this.

the first is that it is the manifestation of their mental state from the last three months and counting. they were trapped in this constant state of confusion and grief that they couldn't even perform their jobs properly. their incompetence suddenly is put into perspective because thier minds were unable to think and get out of this notion that madam sir was still with them (urmilla) and she would save the day. after she lost her memories, they were even more confused about who she was and had no way to confirm it (character's perspective). as we discussed, there is no way for them to escape this situation without consequences. so in a literal sense, they are stuck. telling the DSP now would still land them in trouble. but until that happens they won't be liberated in the true sense. the scene started with the four of them inside and then Karishma opens the door. that act of opening the door paths the way for their exit into a more stable mindset and freedom from this lie that they have been living. moreover, Karishma getting attacked is the catalyst haseena's memories so that was foreshadowing. like she is quite literally opening the memory bank. The second interpretation is that the jail houses the truth. the truth is still hidden in the shadows waiting to be released. it is stuck in haseena's missing memories which will come out after Karishma triggers them- thus she is the one that opens the door.

or you know could be my over analysing self again.

the last scene was a clean set up. unpopular opinion but I would have wanted the entire MPT to be there when her memoirs come back.

not proofread.

OMG it finally happened today!!! Urmi is gone and Haseena Malik is back!

I will not lie. Seeing Karishma and Haseena hug and get back together made me tear up a bit. Just a bit. Karishma's way of saying "Maddam Sir" touched a chord.

And then her reunion with MPT brought those tears down even more. Forgive me as I cry while writing this. It was beautiful. 😭

And then the icing on the cake - Bulbul Pandey ki phir se huyi bezaati. Maza aa gaya. 🤣

I do have a few complaints. I never got the angry MPT, questioning HM about why she didn't trust them. And we never got to find out who the Captain is. I hope they don't bring that track back later on. Even Anubhav's sudden change to the dark side was highly unsatisfactory, but I'll leave these complaints for a later date. It's just nice to get HM back.

There are lot of things I want to say, both positive and negative but I'm too tired to type long posts. So I'll just write my overall view.

Today's episode was just amazing. From acting to action sequence, the background songs, the flashbacks, Bulbul's humiliation and the reunion, everything was perfect.

Never saw someone sum up Urmi's character so well. Her comment for a moment made me question my judgment.

I don't know where to begin with this episode. It was very cinematic, transitioned from action to emotion to comedy, and ended like a happily ever after. It left you with both a smile and a yearning for alot more of where that came from.

The whole time there were so many things going through my head and I was anxious to see how each aspect of the reveal pans out. It was kind of a mental tug-of-war episode, fighting with my expectations/imaginations (from so many fanfics, esp rinki's), forcing my mind to let loose and allow the makers' vision to guide. I really wanted to stay in the moment, with the characters, and feel for them, with them...because despite anything and everything else, their emotions were raw and beautiful. But there were still moments that were jarring enough to snap me out of the scene and shake my head.

First of all, I'm glad that the only spoiler we got was the fight sequence and hug, without any dialogues. Also to note how brilliantly the actors handled their dialogues and expressions while continuing with the action sequence. It can't be easy to remember your lines and character's emotions, while also paying attention to where the next punch is coming from and how you had to counter attack it. 👏.

Karishma's single handed bhaukaal amidst so many goons, lasting for a good few minutes, was a pure treat. Urmila ready to beat karishma herself was inevitably sad, but it was also the ultimate urmila move before a 180 deg flip back to haseena. Haseena's memory return flashbacks, from their first fight side by side to her near death, captured all the main moments beautifully. Once she entered the fight and claimed to be HM, karishma's anger and refusal to believe was only natural (though I didn't expect this conversation to go down in the middle of a fight, but it was executed really well, with a tinge of comedy too).

Haseena recalling moments specific to just the two of them was...messy? Karishma didn't courageously save her from the bomb blast, nor was rani impersonating haseena during the knife attack. Though I can understand that the point of it was haseena appreciating karishma for her unconditional love, support and sacrifice. This was long overdue but there couldn't have been a better track to express it. But then, the way haseena says 'aap jaanti hai kyun' and karishma asks 'kyun', the camera angle or dialogue delivery or dialogue, idk what but it really threw me off. After that I just couldn't connect again when haseena was explaining her fear of losing karishma (this was probably just a me thing).

Everything that followed - the kareena hug (cut short😡bts version was better 😒), convincing MPT by recreating the birthday message, the MPT hug, haseena apologizing, joking about urmila's nicknames, bulbul pandey's epic fail and insult - it was all very sweet.

On the surface the episode was all well and good - but in the back of the mind, there's a realization and inevitable disappointment that the whole mission has been swept under the rug. Karishma's only question is why haseena let them suffer. That's because she still doesn't know haseena had doubted them all at one point and was about to tell anubhav the truth first, and she'll never know. Haseena's only answer is that she suffered equally and it was for a mission. How easily could she equate her pain to theirs and not explain or apologize for all the doubts and messes she made on pretext of the mission. How easily everyone accepted that answer and laughed over the nicknames, as if the 3 month long drama was a normal thing. Again itv leads being let off easily from the biggest life-altering events, without even mention of a redemption. Any and every evidence of the mission's existence has been erased. I feel the same will be done to urmila's existence, but I guess we're yet to see if and how MPT dynamics change in the coming cases and episodes.

Glad we don't need the WU now haha, they were tedious and I'd much rather discuss the episode.

Am I the only one who took time to readjust to Haseena Mallik? I am glad that she is back but, it definitely took me some time to readjust to her old avatar. As much as Urmi was an annoying brat at times, I am going to miss her.

I agree it took some time to convince finally HM is back. And I think Urmi has left permanent imprint on Haseena. Yesterday for the first time Haseena cried infront of MPT. Few days back we were talking about a vulnerable Hassena and we saw a glimpse yesterday. Her calling everyone by nickname given by Urmi reminded me of Urmi.

But tbh, I'll be the only one who won't miss Urmi at all. She was a well-written character. Infact first important grey character of this show as other leads of this show are completely positive. Yes they have their flaws but that doesn't make them grey or negative.

Only if Urmi was not Haseena, I'd have never wanted her to go. But perhaps my possessiveness for Haseena will never let me miss Urmi.

Oh for sure! I assumed it was just a me issue, maybe because I hadn't connected much to Haseena Mallik's character before. But honestly, it's been so long of this haseena/urmila mix that I couldn't remember what original Haseena Mallik was like, despite the background music, swag, speaking style and all. And I think we'll never really get the original back, because enacting such a personality for 3 months is bound to trigger some character development, like komal mentioned showing vulnerability.

It's great to see haseena grow positively, but its still going to take me alot of time to adjust to this new version of her.

I wasn't a big fan of HM but I don't think I'll be able to miss urmila either. Particularly because I didn't enjoy the MPT dynamics in her presence. I felt that her over the top antics overshadowed alot of the other characters and their comical situations.
