Yes, I noticed him being cold towards Nandu and that his comments to Mami were applicable to her too, I too made a comment on it somewhere, I also made a comment on him not melting at Nandu’s distress.
But it didn’t occur to me then the sautela angle, now it feels like he took it to his heart,
I agree Ram was angry because of Nandu’s behaviour, and if she was his birth mother, she might not have behaved like that (we never know in saas-bahu itv shows), but when a mother laments about a possible loss of her son, any son would melt.
See, ram is starting to see that nandini is not all that she portrays!
Go watch that scene again, he knew that she was acting, his eyes they were throwing daggers at her throughout, he melted at her for a milliseconds, when she said mera sab khatam ho jata, but instantly realised that she means by the business and property.
He was very passive-aggressive with nandini. He has been like that since that kangan kand is revealed. He knows/senses that nandini was involved with vedika but he is not saying it bcz he doesn't want to portray nandini as bad step-mom to Priya or soods. But she played with his feelings for his birth mother.
He has been angry and non trusting with nandini ever since. That's why when Priya made that promise he looked upset.
As i keep saying ram has a very high EQ he might not say everything, but he observes everything.

Really love the way you maintain perspective and analyze the characters from the constraints of the story and not as how we do… we expect the characters to behave the way we would if we were in their place and that is where the vicious circle of expectations from the character.

It could be shivi, but as seen today shivi won't really care that much.
She is not really that connected with nandini.
I think he just wants to maintain the peace but nandini and mami keep doing things to trouble him.
That's why he was all the more pissed, they knows they are trying to humiliate priya and soods and that was a direct attack on him. It was not passive this time, so he knew he couldn't ignore them this time so warned them.
He maintains his silence until absolutely necessary.
