Thanks for the thread. Just watched the epi and penned my thoughts. Only gonna talk about the MaAn scenes because for me this should be the highlight of the show, not the romance but the growth in the relationship.
1. I liked the whole gift exchange thing. It felt very sweet and admirable. Thumbs up to the makers for this.
2. Anuj and Anu in the kitchen scene. This also was fine, not bad.
3. The talk scene. This i feel was a wildcard scene. If they would have done this properly, it would have been a masterstroke. Unfortunately it felt very flat. I felt I was served a tasteless dish. The salt in the dish that would bring it all together was missing.
Just something felt too weird. I know some people on twitter are praising this scene. Honestly, i salute these people who feel this scene was good. Because according to me this scene was very badly portrayed. Anuj is the person in the relationship how Anu was in AnuRaj relationship. Not sure if this is what the makers are intending to portray. I am not talking about the physical intimacy part but there is something genuinely amiss.
Let's compare the two scenes - no 1 they were not in the same room, yet it screamed love, whereas the other scene of them in the hall - screamed emotional distance. Just something felt so aloof.
I rue the day I started watching this show. I enjoyed the show for the freshness the character Anuj was, but now it's like I'm being served a spoilt dish. I am served a glass of water in the middle to cleanse my palate ( MaAn lollipop) and then back to cringe worthy stuff.
For me. I have lost interest in this show completely. I mean I am just watching it now. So that means, there is nothing so interesting anymore...
Totally agree, feels like writers are shoving it down our throats. Before I used to eagerly wait for the episode, nowadays not interested, I wait for Sunny's review, watch a few clips on Twitter insta and done then time mile taab catch-up on multiple episodes.
Some of the illogical story lines cannot be digested at all. This couple is in 40s not freaking 90s, they should be head over heels crazy in love 💕 with full on physical intimacies. they are in the prime of their life, they have money, no immediate responsibility of raising small kids. They should be traveling, eating out, exploring cuisines, going to movies, art dance shows, or sporting events whatever they fancy not stuck with shah house drama all the time!!
Even my 92 yr old neighbor has an 88yr old girlfriend (his wife of 70ys who passed away 3-4 yrs ago, her best friend!) They formally dress up every week, go out for dinner and movie, play cards, meet friends. Obviously at that age it's more about companionship but it is the cutest thing to see and they are so giddy in love!!
So please stop having Anu band bajaofy by saying uncle aunty when Anuj is saying cutely ladka ladki and suggesting to take advantage of the alone time to spend a few minutes alone. Why is she now 'age shaming'
