Thank you so much for the detailed story. This gave many clarifications. Till the point you have written, both Aditya and Imlie were victim of circumstances and later they fell in love (this part is debatable) but Malini was victim of their decisions.

They could have shown Malini moving on from a man who doesn't love her or prioritises her anymore but no, they made her one of the most evil person in the show. She had all the rights to get hurt and hate them as they deceived her but to make her this evil is not acceptable.

I know it is the writers prerogative and he has full right to say the story the way he wants. And I was just disappointed. But I wasn't that disappointed to abandon the show. They managed to keep my interest in the show. BTW if you look at it like that, then the age difference is also the writer's prerogative.

Regarding the age issue, I never had an issue though in the beginning I thought Adi was 27-28. My parents have 12 years age gap between them... I have seen people around me with that age gap and more and they all seem to be doing good. For me age difference doesn't factor in much in a relation/marriage.

And I agree Malini was a victim. My first post in this forum was about how I see both Adi and Imlie as criminals.

When I saw the first promo, seeing it was a love triangle I wasn't interested in watching the show. Then I started reading the reviews and watched a few episodes here and there. I started watching this show regularly from Adini first marriage. So, I knew this show was about bigamy and the man falling in love with his first wife. So, I was ready for that when I started watching the show, so didn't have much issue with it. And everyone knows, I don't take this show that seriously🤣

Arre neither was I invalidating your interpretation of the show! I was just saying ki new viewers might have found certain aspects of the show distasteful, previously which is also valid. Baaki this show has been redone so many effing times, isse kya seriously lena. 🤣🤣🤣

I read the entire post very minutely. Thank you so much. So much patience. I had watched the original bengali show long back and remember that well. I want to say this I am not being biased but i never liked Baha-Archi and I don't like Adilie. In Baha Archi's case they never tried to force feed us kismet and SM as much as they did in Hindi version. But seriously Aditya from the beginning is a pain to watch. Right from start he has always only doubted Imlie and her intentions. His marriage and relationship and treatment fo Malini sickens me. I am glad GM left and makers had to bring in new guy. Else, Imlie would have had ended up back with him like in original. I am glad that the new guy is literal antithesis to Aditya. I guess we can say that bigamy is the basis of the storyline and all 3 characters are entwined without anyone specific to blame. But out of the 3 somehow Aditya is the only one I find the most despicable. Because his character is just like that. Even in original the leads spend most of the time fighting and separated from each other while Baha becomes a doctor because of how insecure, entitled and toxic Archi is to both the women. I know ppl who have followed the story from beginning still love Aditya as he is the lead and we have to root for the leads to have ED. its a conditioning but really in this story be it in any language, the ML is not at all root-able. This story was never meant to be a great love story as the 4lions have always excelled at. At least not by the original story telling. Rather it was about the complexity of human relationships. Thats why Hindi version falls short. There is nothing worth rooting for as love story for ages in Imlie Aditya dynamics or Baha-Archi relationship which 4lions keep on trying to push.

But thats just my POV.

PS: I have to say though.. Adilie BG of 'Piya tose milne' is far more melodious then 'Jaaniya..' Both songs suit the respective ships. Piya tosse is notch above.
