well i am kind of happy with karishma character growth..I just want it remains same and it is not jeopardise again when HM is back ..hope now after hm is back they again dont show like ks cant do anything

Gulki promised that haseena will be back very soon, but now its doubtful we'll see her before the end of this week. The latest BTS is of urmila getting a film role, so if the water case wraps up wednesday, that film-related case will go on thursday and friday. Saturday we might see the memory return buildup and action sequence, and precap for monday would be that kareena hug from bts. So monday would be the earliest of seeing haseena malik in original avatar back at thana.

😆They have established such an obvious pattern of starting, handling and ending cases, its almost like a form that they just have to fill in. I guess my predictions were very close though, promo said monday will start the memory return.

No no, I was just worried she would if she lost interest in the show. But she clarified she's toxically attached to the show just like me, so I guess we're all going nowhere regardless of how/where the show goes😆 I'm sure makers love laughing at our empty threats.

If the show really goes downhill, maybe we can start rewatching and discussing from the 1st episode...idk.

we should do this either way. there are a lot more things to talk about, especially in the genesis of the show. ever since I started rewatching with my friend, I've noticed so many more things I hadn't earlier (ie. it took me 209 episodes to realise Santosh is neurodivergent coded while on my rewatch I picked on the signs by episode 70ish) and would enjoy sharing my thoughts.

I definitely didn't realize that detail, but I know there were many things that I judged in later episodes because I didn't see that character buildup from before. The show's writing is one of the best on itv, the consistencies, subtleties, and characterizations are amazing. Totally worth a complete analysis.

My two cents on yesterday's and today's episodes;

Yesterday when Urmi bought that guy the Vada and said that she was going to set him free I was afraid that "hafta vassol" Urmi was back , but the way she conveyed the message in Urmila's words it felt like it was HM who made an "guest appearance" ...I loved that whole scene ..

Today's episode;

Loved how the new guy got to say "urff yeh masoomiyat" right at that moment I was yelling at the screen "He better not say urff yeh masoomiyat"... Chita went from good to borderline tolerable....if writers continue this trend then he'll start to get on audiences' nerves.... honestly he's not at all concerned about solving the case , he's only obsessed about his Santu ji...

When santu was telling dhanush about his father....a huge facepalm moment...I was like before you accuse someone show adequate proof and then continue with the allegations...I know that they don't have any proof but who accuses a person like that right away 🤦

Loved Urmila's twisted plan and how she kidnapped danush...also Santu started referring Urmila as "tum" , that didn't sit well with me for some reason...when KS was talking about how one can't take law into thier own hands I wanted HM to have a flashback about Qayamat and say "aap bhi ek thana competition keliye Qayamat bankar kaanoon ko apni haat per li thi Karishma Singh"

Pushpaji was about to slap KS without any provocation! It was both funny and shocking at the same time....just like the cheetosh track writers are testing the waters with this track as well to see how much they can cross the boundaries before there's an uproar from the audience...

What's with Nawab saab bringing new stuff to trouble mpt members like every 5 mins? Even he's getting annoying like bulbul pandey I don't want this guy to appear too often in the show...

true true. they have become formulaic in their episodes. though i like it when it's logical, tight all around and has a systematic flow of events.

phew! yes, we all have a toxic relationship with this show (ITV in general form). our empty threats are what have led us here. no matter how much we threaten to quit, we still come back shamelessly (i am guilty of this).

yep yep. knowing their backstories now makes it easier to spot the hints and foreshadowing. subtleties and characterizations (mostly) are amazing. consistencies not so much (how many time has Karishma's mom and cheetah's father died and resurrected, Pushpa Ji's husband died either eight years ago or three years ago adn many more that I can't recall now. )

Water corruption case gets resolved (rather rushed and haphazardly I'd say, compared to how cleanly it was introduced and progressed in the last 2 episodes).

Santu and cheetah at the cafe where inder has come to meet his son dhanush: cheetah hides behind a paper and calls santu, she picks up pretending its her mom's call and tells dhanush she has to go right away; a waiter in front of inder trips and drops a glass of water, hypocritically inder tells him to be careful about wasting water, meanwhile santu and cheetah run away

Outside thana: pushpaji desperately asks badnaam for a glass of water, iqbal and badnaam reveal the entire market's water supply has been cut, just then nawab and market ppl come protesting, nawab says his haveli and the market's main water pipeline has been stopped because MPT has made an enemy who is now taking revenge and they all are suffering without fault, jal nigam guy is also there and says karishma should follow what was asked of her, karishma whispers to pushpa that inderjeet is cornerning them from all sides to give in, pushpa replies 'pushpa jhukegi nahi' and gets a glare 😆

Inside thana, santu and cheetah have returned after santu's failed cafe attempt of getting dhanush to reveal his dad's secrets: urmila is annoyed and says she would've done much better, santu looks dejected, cheetah defends her (rather too animatedly and in her face, she's clearly not in the mood), santu gets a call from dhanush asking for a dinner date and offering a water tanker but she's clearly uncomfortable and refuses with an excuse, the whole time urmila kept signing her to say yes but santu had ignored and cut the call, afterwards urmila gives an idea to use santu to get the son to get the dad to do their work (this made no sense to me, so idek what to write), urmila tells santu to call the guy again and she asks karishma for approval before calling

At some restaurant, urmila, cheetah and santu come in their jeep: santu is dressed up and goes inside, urmila tries to stop cheetah but he goes regardless (he could really care less about the case, his obsession is getting super annoying now), inside dhanush tries to talk to santu about her but she keeps diverting to his dad's topic, eventually she reveals that she's only here to talk about his dad, she tries to explain his dad's corruption business and goes on to say that not all dad's are perfect, obviously he doesn't believe her and gets angry and leaves

Outside the restaurant, urmila waiting: urmila stops dhanush from running and requests him to come to thana to discuss something, santu calls karishma complaining that urmila has kidnapped dhanush (they're literally just talking in the background, but she knows what's to happen eventually I guess?), karishma and pushpa get annoyed at urmila's stupidity, meanwhile urmila gets cheetah to knock out dhanush with a karate chop thereby making santu's premonition true, karishma tries to talk sense into urmila on the phone saying its illegal etc, pushpa keeps pitching in with unasked opinions, urmila finally gives the excuse that she's not really a cop and will kidnap regardless, ending the call

At thana, unconscious dhanush brought in: cheetah keeps trying to take out his personal frustration on dhanush, the tanker driver is rushed away somewhere by billu (guy literally just disappears, whatever happened to being saved by his boss), urmila has an idea and no one agrees except karishma, she says its the only option they have before admiting defeat, urmila calls in the to-be-married guy and tells him take dhanush with him to sukhinagar

At thana next day: inderjeet comes in panicked that his son is not to be found, karishma pretends to look for his location and says he's in sukhinagar, she says her constables are already there and will bring him, later cheetosh and sukhinagar ppl come but without dhanush, sukhinagar ppl demand 50 lakh to hand over dhanush, inder says they're taking advantage of his helplessness and committing extortion, urmila taunts him for doing the same with water supply, karishma gives excuses and denies anything being illegal, inder agrees to give the money, dhanush is brought in and he accuses thana ppl of kidnapping him, inder threatens them of his power and urmila takes none of it, karishma and MPT take turns taunting him about his illegal activities, son finds out and threatens to leave home, inder admits his mistake and promises that no one in the city will be without water hereon, urmila and karishma give messages on using water responsibly.

(As clean as last episode's writing was, today's felt equally loose. I didn't completely understand either of urmila's ideas, nor the resolution. Comedy was virtually non-existent. Cheetah's only role is obsessing over santuji, so much that iqbal/badnaam would appear to care more about thana and its cases than he does currently. We praised karishma's stronghold on urmila throughout this case, but oh how can it be that urmila contributes nothing, so by the end karishma seemed to have given her complete trust and freedom)

Precap: nawab brings in a music video? shoot in the thana, MPT can do nothing because his 6 months rent is outstanding (I thought it was 3 months the last time he came)

In that case, she would just have been a comical character who messes things up. But knowing that it's Haseena is something that hurts me. But leaving all this behind, I'm happy finally all this is going to be over soon

yep yep. urmilla as a character on her own has nothing to live up to. so jer antics and dynamics we witness would be independent of preconceived notions.

crash and burn has become my favourite phrase for this show. literally. In every other case, they introduce it so neatly with a steady momentum only for it to fall flat on its face today. just two days ago we praised the characters and all of them today decide to prove us wrong. none of the characters not plot was understandable today. I was so confused throughout.

Totally agreed. We were talking about writers having a formulaic approach, well it seems their "case outline sheet" doesn't have a climax and conclusion section. Or writers are too tired and running out of time when they reach those sections, so they bull*hit right through the end. Total college/university vibes, and feels like we're the teachers, marking hundreds of those kinds of assignments. Painful to sit through, case after case.

again, I dont see how inderjeet seeing them would mess up the mission. he hasn't met either of them. plothole much? but fine, inderjeet seeing them would have blown their cover so they had to leave. why didn't santu get up and leave after she ended the call? why stall adn wait for him to move away?

I think cheetah was there when inderjeet came to thana, but santu wasn't, so yea plothole. And yea, the timing in that scene felt super off, a direction thing maybe.

the father told the waiter about wasting a cup of water because his son was there and he needed to maintain a good image in front of him. plus, this provided a base for Dhanush to not trust Santosh later on in the episode.

Hahahahhaha you're not aware of the pushpa craze hey? It's based on a new movie 'Pushpa' where the main character named pushpa raj says "main pushpa hoon, pushpa raj, main jhukega nahi saala" and does this hand gesture, he also has another famous dialogue "pushpa naam sunke flower samjhe hai kya, flower nahi fire hai main" So our writers and pushpee are making full use of its popularity 😆

how did it fail? the guy was clearly still interested in her and that would have been enough to get a second date like what happened? she escape to save their cover from being blown. why is Karishma irritated (Urmila doesn't matter cause she ain't a police offer and no one can change my mind on this.)? even then, the guy doesn't know anything about his father's business and neither did they have proof.

Agreed, I didn't actually understand why urmila called it a fail, why karishma said nothing to shut urmila up, and why santu felt bad. What was the next plan of action anyways, because the guy had already said he didn't know anything. About santu, first of all she was totally uncomfortable with the guy but still held on for her dedication to duty; then, like you said, she managed to escape cleanly without raising any suspicion. What more was expected from her?

two minutes of silence for urmilla's brilliant idea. the birds stopped singing in respect of her deceased plan. and santu ji, girl I literally sang praises for you yesterday. what happened to that shrewdness and tact to make decisions on your own?

This truth spiel was so so stupid that I didn't even realize it was actually the essence of urmila's plan. I actually thought santu just said it in the moment because the guy wasn't revealing anything. Even the kidnapping, I thought it was just decided in the moment because the plan failed. Basically I never figured out the plan was, that's some crap writing.

Also I feel santu can take strong decisions and take on the leadership initiative, but only when karishma or haseena are not around make the call. In their presence and seniority, the most she will do is give ideas or suggestions. Like komal said, she's an ideal junior who never tries to cross the boundaries of her position. Here urmila had the full approval of karishma, so urmila's words were essentially her senior's orders. Even when urmila is kidnapping dhanush, santu first updates karishma and asks if karishma still endorses urmila's plan.

on a sidenote, the rover reversal here was a nice touch. usually, it would be haseena trying to reason things out with Karishma. i am hoping all these little details help their dynamic after her memory returns. we dont need the same giza pita laat vs jaazbaat anymore.

Yea haha I mentioned this in my reply to sainath. Literally was a time when haseena had to explain this exact point to karishma in every case - legal vs illegal, extra trouble etc. Funny to see karishma explaining that very point to someone else now. Like a child growing up and becoming a parent, only to realize what his/her own parents went through. Haseena though, could make things work out in the end. Karishma, on the other hand, can do nothing but look on in shock and let urmila fix her own messes eventually.

how can anyone else use their brain to solve the case? how can the person who so loudly claimed to solve this case use her brian to do it? damn, they really made Karishma look like a yaya papaya today.

Right, she was so confident in promising to serve justice, but was out of ideas before even trying. It's a regular thing with her though, dabang entry into the case, then has to be dragged out of the mess by someone else. She's like abhimanyu, can enter a chakravyuh but has no clue how to escape it. This whole episode she barely said a word, until conclusion time where she shed a bit of gyaan.
