Is this marriage valid!!

Sorry for making this post when the entire forum is in fun happy mode

Age of imile is mentioned as 19 right.so according to marriage act 2021,one must be more than 21 yrs to get married,otherwise it's in appropriate and cannot even register it.Here she gets married twice,divorced once..so all her marriages and divorce is invalid..

Why cant they just do something about it or atleast stop mentioning her age in this show...its a prime time show and it needs this important attention..compulsive marriage track with Aditya is atleast okay ,it represents the regression of our society but this marriage track..could they be more responsible in this issue..

Age increase for girls is only proposed and not yet implemented in India.

As of today marriageable age for girls is still 18 years.

Imlie's age is on some sliding scale. Before she was 19. But during holi talk with Meethi, she said she was 20. So within few days, she will say she is 21. All okay in dramaland. 😉

The law isn't passed yet... So the marriage age for girls is still 18,

At the time of her first marriage imlie was 18, and at the time of 2nd marriage she's 20.

The first marriage is voidable at the option of the couple because it happened on gunpoint, which they did not chose, i think it was upheld by court during molestation case.

The 2nd marriage is legal as far as laws currently in force in India.

I also heard it's not implemented yet..

Discussions are gng on over the same n govt is considering it. Bt even if the law came into place, it wd nt automatically nullify all marriages done before it came into effect.

they skipped her birthday, she's 20 now lol
