Those saans and all dialogues are like written or said just for name sake. Fine she was reminded that he too has wishes and dreams but in maan convo it was clear that he killed his wishes for her. But it didn't have any effect on her.

I knew if I will watch the scene I will end up crying, but she is okay with him sacrificing, his wishes matter the least to her. Just words aren't enough that share ur wishes, don't be so great but where is the implementation?

They should have made her know about one of his wishes and get it fulfilled.. Maybe then suti vexatious dialogues wouldn't have been this much annoying.

Not at all, don't appilozise...

This is lousy writing for sure...they are butchering the characters to the point of no return...

The need to be constantly reminded by someone about anuj's feelings makes her character look like she is treating anuj as an afterthought...

Some ppl are saying on Twitter that these dialogues are used as an Anachronism for simple wedding. This is literally insult of simple and grand weddings because even simple weddings are done beautifully , money is spent on where it's absolutely required, I'm not going yo buy their wedding less expenditure and more love trope.

I understand they are trying to save money for Vanraj's fourth wedding but they could have tried to convince audience instead of triggering them with extremes , they could have shown Anuj and Anupama don't have much savings or they aren't fond of exorbitant wedding but in the beginning of episode they showed Anuj wishing for big fat wedding and Anupama too thought of getting married in poorest way after Baa's taunts. So it's. Like sprinkling salt on wounds.

True yaar , my own parents had a “ simple” wedding because my dad was against many ritualistic practices at weddings and didn’t want anyone else to pay for his wedding expenses . They had a wedding at my mothers maternal house , with limited guests from both sides , registrar was called to solemnise the court marriage and no , my mother did not wear a “ suti saree” nor my father or his relatives come in auto . Later on they gave a rather lavish reception party for other relatives and colleagues, for which he took a personal loan from his company and managed to pay back in few years .

Personally I would have liked to see a temple wedding in Radha Krishna temple where they had that conversation ( as Smitha has suggested in her dabble ) and then maybe show a party where they can have all naach gaana. Would have been most consistent with their character arcs , even in original Bengali version it’s like a simple wedding only . But inko TRPs bhi chahiye , Hero ko khush bhi rakhna hai , but paise nahi Kharch karne so they are shoving this poor excuse of “ middle class “ wedding down our throats . Msg totally lost in translation!!!
