I liked the social issue they addressed about faltu ka dikhava and kharcha in shadis but a simple shadi for me means court/mandir mein shadi followed by decent dinner for friends and relatives... Ye suti saari and rickshaw mein aana is too extreme. Agar lavish wedding mein faltu kharcha hota hai to ye zabardasti ka gareebi ka drama bhi ott lagta hai.

In logo ko normal kya hota hai pata hi nahi🤣

40 saal se kaam karne kw baad bhi ek rupay ki personal saving nahi ho kisi ke pass aisa hota hai kya.. aur ye gareeb hue to sare kapde bhi bech khaaye kya...har sade hue function mein ek se ek badhiya kapde pehen ne wale khud ke function mein bhi achha sa dress to afford kar hi sakte hai nahi to unhi functions mein ek dress repeat kar lo🤣

Writers have gone nuts. Anupama will wear silk banarsi saree on Vanya's baby shower but on her wedding day she will wear old cotton saree. 

She is being forced to get married I guess😳

Just on holika dehan pooja she was wearing a decent saree and now she will tie the knot in simple saree, so now Anupama and Anuj are below Poverty line? What was the purpose of dry cleaning of old suit and auto rickshaw Didnt Anuj and Anupama travel in car from railway station to their home?

Some ppl are saying on Twitter that these dialogues are used as an Anachronism for simple wedding. This is literally insult of simple and grand weddings because even simple weddings are done beautifully , money is spent on where it's absolutely required, I'm not going yo buy their wedding less expenditure and more love trope.

I understand they are trying to save money for Vanraj's fourth wedding but they could have tried to convince audience instead of triggering them with extremes , they could have shown Anuj and Anupama don't have much savings or they aren't fond of exorbitant wedding but in the beginning of episode they showed Anuj wishing for big fat wedding and Anupama too thought of getting married in poorest way after Baa's taunts. So it's. Like sprinkling salt on wounds.

Pehle toh Priiii - yeh recruiters/HR ka chalta rehta hai. kuch waale be it local or MNC are really weird. time ki respect hi nahi karte and they think ki zaroorat humari hai toh we will take their nonsense. but don't lose heart, you'll get a call sooon...isse accha, isse behtar (like AK said in his bada aadmi scene...❤️)

Quickly starting with giving credit where due -

MaAn's conversation was so so needed. I'm glad chai par charcha is bacck!!!!!

Anu's points to Anuj were really well done, she knows how it feels to be a in a one sided relationship and not be heard - so i'm glad she forced him to speak up on his armaan.

Anuj's point on jaisi shaadi chahiye toh puri zindagi loan repayment mein nikal jaayegi - again well done! there are many couples who do this due to family/society pressures so nice way of addressing it

shaadi not being grand but being intimate and happy - again brownie points. you don't have to have a lavish wedding to declare the new phase of your life. so happy with that too

Not getting Babuji involved for finances - again beautfiul. Relationship of equals is the need of the hour. Our society is slowly changing and our generation is setting a good eg. It should always be equal and no upper hand business.

AK being an "ex billionaire/tycoon" and is shown as a person WITH zero savings? Stupid and absolutely senseless. Are you seriously telling me he has zero FDs? Zero personal money? Nothing at all on his name? He was the CEO and CEO's get salary - what happened to that? Charac butchering toh one side but this makes zero sense

Recycle I'm ok with - i.e. taking your mother's/sister's wedding dress and redesigning is the best if you are tight on budget and/or want to just carry happy memories and aashirwad. BUT this whole thing of puraane kapde was a bit too stretched. You don't have to wear a sabyasachi but you can do with a simple yet pretty outfit. Choice of words was incorrect I feel. Infact if the makers actually remember their stories/plot, it could've been Anu saying "let's engage with the grahinis who are good with such things" and give them a chance and show another social message of buying and supporting local/small time artists.

Anuj's charac inconsistency - just about 4 weeks back, we had him saying how he wants a saadgi shaadi and now he wants a grand wedding. I know and understand, everyone dreams of a fairy tale wedding but it doesn't fit with his charac at all - just like the whole gareebi track

Above all, they show them celebrating all chhota/bada festival with such nice dresses, i would've liked if she would've said ki ek function ki dress ek hi baar pehni hai wohi we can upholster or something but no she chose "puraani"

Daadi ki shaadi and second wedding drama - I get the point, I get it. but having this dialogue in every episode is little too OTT - just like Anu's bhashans and gyaan, this too seems forced!

i'm sure the wedding will be a nice affair so this build up is thoda off track. could've been worded better I felt.

PC - could be a parallel of Diwali or could be something totally diff but i'll wait for the week to unfold. I'm also curious to know what Mukku brings to the table err shaadi😆

100$ question, agar shaadi SH main Bapuji nahi karte to ye MaAn apni shaadi kaise finance karte? Though both talked but neither questioned why is SH family bearing the financial burden for this marriage...

Oops, tubelight me, Anu us ghar ke beti hai so all her earning go to finance SH and she can't take a penny for herself. From now, Anuj is Ghar Jamai so even all his earning and saving will go to fund SH. MaAn can survive with blessings and taunts, they are above materialistic uff human needs.

Any guesses on Aaj ka Lollipop scene - Anu asking Anuj to have a say in marriage. This was just a 🍭 kuch hone wala nahi hai. Shaadi ke next day Anu will leave Anuj and run back as her free ki full time maid, nurse, doormat to SH and same Anuj will still say Anu sahi hai.

I for one very much enjoyed the episode. They brought up an important topic and made a good point imo about lavish weddings. MaAn is still MaAn, lavish wedding or not. :) And showing a couple having a healthy dialogue about wedding finances is important too.

Cotton saree, dry cleaning, auto all dialogues could hv been worded better. There is a limit to stretch dialogues but limit word doesn't exist in dictionary. These dialogues have really left a bad taste. Court marriage would have been better than this utter nonsense. Anuj and Anupama could have shared expenses and would have made it a small affair with friends and relatives.

Anuj wanted to have rich wedding today, if he isn't able to fulfill his wish then there will be no coming back for his character, he will be butchered beyond redemption.

Even dialogues of recycling of clothes were poorly written. Dialogue writer of today's episode should be fired from job.
