Disclaimer: This isn't character bashing, this is me pointing out inconsistencies and track tendencies that's worrying me. Also Atif Sir - you know this is coming from a lot of love and admiration of your technical prowess.
This is in lieu of the episode where Imlie decides to dress up as a Naukrani, embarrass Aryan, make an idiot out of herself and Aparna confronting Imlie for her stupidity.

I really need to have a conversation with Imlie. Aparna, for once, asked really valid questions. And I am PISSED that they really are breaking Imlie’s character down into something I can’t recognize or root for.
And to give a very critical point, my anger with Imlie isn’t coming from her being headstrong or disrespecting Aryan. Nope, it’s just that her character has lost motivation.
Any character can be justifiable if their motivations are strong - it’s what made Malini a really capable villain for the longest time.

Yes, I did NOT appreciate her negativity came to give Aditya a positive role, and I hated that she raped Aditya - barring those two things aside - I could understand why Malini would hate Imlie and what drove her to ruin Imlie as much as she could.
But suddenly it feels like the writers have written Aryan as the protagonist and completely forgotten how to write Imlie as a character.
She just has one goal - demean Aryan and make his life a living hell and really ruin her own respect in everything. Like literally Aparna - out of all people - had to remind Imlie that it was Aditya who lied that she’s a servant to his family because he didn’t have a spine? Yeh sabka white washing aur Imlie ko idiotifying kyun kar rahe hai?
Like I’m getting frustrated that every scene, every moment that could’ve contributed to Imlie’s growth and a reconnection between Imlie and Aryan is literally becoming a moment of Imlie being stupid and Aryan being amazing.
I… I really don’t have words.
TL, DR: I love Aryan and he is amazing - he doesn't need more tracks to be glorified. The T's are always better off as grey shaded characters, please stop the fair and lovely white washing. Also, Imlie is the protagonist so I do think tracks should be dedicated to her character growth.
The End
