Kya kron. Na chahte hue bhi I get carried away
But you're right. Ye track zabardasti laya gya hai. I wish creatives isko better handle krte. But that's probably too much to ask

Atif saying to us --- "Tum kya kar logey?" 🥱
Thank you for the tag! :) I totally resonate with your view, well said.
Because he's irrevocably in love? That's what ASR's character has come down to? If not what else?
@bold: this is exactly what I could see in the past few episodes. And today with Aryan rationalising and coming to terms with Imlie's saviour syndrome nature, I'm a bit disappointed.
Had the sole reason of him bowing out was him coming to understand her trauma with marriage and forcedness, I could appreciate it but with this acceptance, I'm like meh! Pyaar ne Aru ko kya se kya bana diya 😭
Having said that, there's a life time ahead of them. If he can still have his ASR wits around him and not completely become a sappy lover boy, I do really hope slowly his influence on her increases and he's able to guide her better.
Wish I wasn't attached to Aryan's character. Then I wouldn't have been this frustrated
@bold: Me too 😒 But still hands down, one of the best male leads in ITV I've seen ever! ❤️ My admiration trumps my frustration everyday and I end up watching the show.
You're welcome dear 🥰
I really wish the same. But yesterday's epi felt like placing a mark for the future. It's like she is going to be the same. That's it.
They will rope in another actor
The purpose of this track might have been to make Imlie realise that She should be her first priority. If we see the ckt Imlie, she is a impulsive, spontaneous young girl, who jumps to help anyone in trouble without realising how it is going to affect her (Marrying AKT to save him, each time going behind AKT to save him from different situations, Saving Arpita in temple, saving MB girls and so on). She has a huge hero/saviour complex and she thinks of herself as she can do anything and everything . just remember how she used to boast about her academics/scholarship. She closes down her brain in such situations and works as per what her heart says. and she ends up showing tantrums whenever she fails (as in PD attack track when she could not reach to AKT).
While writing and executing the track, the purpose has now reached to Whitewashing of Ts, Realisation of Aryan that he is in love with this girl even if he denies it, his inner self told it explicitly (which I feel is one good thing to progress the AryLie story and lover boy Aryan will be good to watch), and Bringing the adamant and ziddi Imlie, who is going to throw tantrums around Aryan, and by doing so she will keep herself away from Ts and keep close to Aryan, which is required for story to move ahead.
I will enjoy the tantrums, as I get to see it everyday in my home with my teen boy, whenever he is forced to do something which he does not wants to do. But as a mother of a teen, I believe complete democracy is not good for your child, till they are able to take wise decisions for themselves. Feel free to disagree
I am sad only at the fact that Meethi Imlie equation is now damaged. Hope Aryan will burn his hands again to bring it back to old equation of Mother daughter.
its ok re, hota hain
❤️
@shabia1 -- I finally got around to watching the episode from yesterday and I can see why you felt dejected. At my end, I was a bit bored. Her walking away from the mandap lacked any punch because he had to be the agent to set her free; she didn't do it herself, neither did she make the choice which had always been in front of her, neither did she use her voice when she just loves to bak bak so much.
So Aryan's inner voice tells him that unlike others who put themselves first, Imlie is someone who puts others before herself. Are the creatives asking us to clap and say "wah Imlie!" Sorry, boss, that isn't going to happen.
For the most part, that sort of generation who sacrificed so much for family members at the point of hurting themselves are mostly gone.
Because of the bitter experiences of many, people no longer think that way. I remember this talk show where the theme was joint family and one lady bitterly said that when they left the family home, they walked away with nothing whereas the other siblings and their families had built houses and investments for themselves. It was so painful for this lady and her husband because they had sacrificed so much as the eldest brother and wife. They felt the time they had spent as extended family was all a waste of their life. 😞
For better or worse, people have realized that yes, we can care for others but we have to take care of ourselves too. People have also learned that we need to keep boundaries and we can't rush to save people who didn't ask of us. We have learned through life that we can only help who want us to help them and so on....
Worse than not being able to identify with Imlie, many of us viewers see her as an idiot. She always had a choice -- no one in the Tripathy family asked her to save them. That was a choice she made. No one asked her to sacrifice herself -- that was a choice she made. She never thought that these are grown adults who are good odd years older than her and should be able to deal with their problems. Why is a young woman dealing with problems that people with more experience should be able to figure out themselves? Imlie is someone who does not see value in herself or in her life. She only sees her value in relation to others. That is a problem because it is not something many of us relate to -- we don't see that as a plus, we see it as a problem where someone will use you and throw you if you don't know how to self-respect.
So no, it didn't feel powerful at all. Instead it looked like she was escaping. Maybe the point was to show that Aryan was not forcing her but she could have always told him "no" by herself without Aryan prompting her -- if she had done that and Aryan nodded and agreed with her choice, then I would have clapped for both. This was just meh. 🤷♀️
The main thing we need to remember is this is a daily soap. It’s a form of escapism for majority of viewers. There is no more space for intelligent audiences in ITV. Gone are those days when there used to relatable / inspiring TV shows. Saying so what they are dishing right now most of us are confused or not liking it . But if you see some comments on YouTube and other platforms they seem to loving all the extra dramaaaa. Very few bother questioning the motive behind a certain plot , the obvious foolishness in certain characters.
Anyhow I always felt they are trying to turn a new leaf with this serial ever since Aryans’s entry . So in total of a little above 100 episodes ? If you consider this a whole new serial for this time line it’s not that bad . It’s just that those who have been watching it from long time and seeing Imli’s tomfoolery has been frustrating.
Where are these makers trying to go post wedding ? No clue , the jaadu devi avataar promo does not look exciting ! But I will hold back to see what the next week or two presents us . We will get a better picture of how they are planning to move ahead with Imli’s characterization. Is she going to regress or manage to take baby steps towards growth now that she will be thrusted to whole new environment.
She is young naive impressionable girl who was groomed so far. It’s not so easy to snap out of its effect. Adding to it is her inborn savior complex. It’s a slow process.
What I am hoping to see is if they will show instances and scenarios that will make Imli question her thought process so far . Only in that case I see her learning and growing .
Or will the makers simply try to shove down our throat that no she is Mahaan Imli so no matter that she does , it’s all for the greater reason at the end ? If that’s what they end up doing , guess what that’s when viewership will start tanking too !
I don’t think this will help with Dejection topic on this thread , but simply penned my two cents :)
