I personally did not find him captivating on screen. Initially he was given screen space but even after the pardafash, his apology scene with imlie was without any impact. That should have been totally his scene.

Instead of that scene people remember the arylie scene that came immediately afterwards where aryan is taking care of her.

I haven't watched the show from the beginning but the 'titli' sequence between GM and FK was electric. They both acted so amazingly in that scene. I looked forward to such show downs but it never left the same impact with MV.

I 2nd u ... I am watching the old episodes.. GM is a terrific actor and his eyes portrays half of the emotions before saying a word. My mom also checking out the older episodes with me and after ages she is also into an itv serial.. she didn't like the new Adi much as he is not much expressive and comes off strong with his trying to portray the character. It's like he don't want to get inside this character to act it or own the character to reach the audience

They didnt build up the revenge to fall flat in 2/3 episodes

1) forced shaadi track by channel

2) manasvi quitting

3) fandom outrage by the forced track

Now they are at a corner , i fear for the show , cause i am not sure how they are going to pull themselves back from it !

This, I assume the makers wanted to increase the TRP so wanted a marriage track but messed up big time. Because they showed how Arylie were against forced marriage in PD, infact it should have been Aditya who should hv brought this track but the actor was so dull so ended butchering ASR and made him the cause for this track but I am glad he backed out in today's episode because I was not able to connect with Aryan throughout this entire track as he always believed in Imlie's rights and never forced her for anything..this whole marriage track killed Arylie dynamics for me.

correct. no power in scene in his presence as audience i didnt like at all feel any emotion with prev aditya u feel at least angry at him cos he ws a good actor. i really hope they bring someone who express on screen cos there is lot in AKT role in the story still till imlie decide she love Aryan, AKT will remain in middle so character cnt go out.

According to telly express article, it was mentioned channel wanted to toy between the two as MV had more insta followers and FK had done few shows previously..also said MV was ok with that initially and hoped to be the lead.

It should have been akt redemption which should have fuelled ASR revenge , and imlie caught in middle

hmmm.... Interesting! So will we have another Aditya? -- I think we might as the revenge track is not over. I do hope that whoever they get will bring in his dark energy as well as nuance.

Just my feel but rather than say the channel chose another to be the lead or the creatives didn't give him what he expected, my take would be that it simply didn't work out. Sometimes, we join a job with great hope but after joining, find it isn't necesarily what we hoped. Then we move on to something else.

There isn't anything wrong per se with being a second lead or a villain.

There are plenty of dramas as well as movies where I have seen actors garner so many fans when they weren't even the hero. There are plenty of villains (Loki would be a great example) who garnered a fanbase. Even in ITV, I remember so many outfits of the villian (ladies) becoming so popular. The actresses who play them get such love and cheers from fans at the awards shows. Sometimes those are the characters we remember more if the actors know how to wring out emotion from every line and add all sorts of nuances.

I have seen GM's acting..him and FK were powerhouse in tashan scenes so you can feel that adi was wrong and ASR was right but MV - he looked so out of place and I couldn't picture him as AKT at all. Either they have to end AKT character or bring someone who can play as a villain.

Also ignore the telly express journalist he is Anti-FK and his tweets are always against him so he added his khayali pulao in it too.
