I am not even concerned about her final decision. Her giving a cold shoulder to Anuj, then weeping at this point of time in the story is uncalled for. Given how close she has grown towards Anuj, he could be her perfect sounding board. Open up to him and talk about her pain inflicted by the people she loves.

When there is someone who is offering so much love and affection it must be reciprocrated. If nothing else, even if she wanted to be alone at that time and did not want to talk to him, she could have told him that in a nice way, instead of giving him stern looks. All his fault was to shower her with limitless affection & care.

I am surprised she had expectations from her family( baa, pakhi, V et al) that they would happily agree. She of all people should know how they are going to react.

Overall, I could not relate to her grief.

I disagree. I actually think she’s already made up her decision to choose Anuj and her happiness over so called samaj ki baatein and family. She’s tormented because she thought the so called family she considered her own and did so much for all these years, isn’t in support of her love and her happiness. While she expected them to support her (yes delusional), esp Pakhi… but her bubble just burst.

All those expressions and silence isn't because she's reconsidering her yes. It's because her heart is shattered from how her family has behaved. Everyone's words echo through her because her family is split into two. She legit said she's ending this story - the story of how women are treated in society. And she was so determined. If she meant she’s ending her love story, she would have sounded sad.

I am surprised many people (esp here.. in social media many have tweeted that they know Anu has already chosen anuj.. surprised the pov is so polarized) too didn’t understand Anu’s anguish and turmoil they are trying to portray. They never gave any long monologues to Anu. It was to the point. Parivar pyar ko Kyun nahi samajh raha. I guess it’s the fault in the writing. Also cuz they wanna keep the suspense factor going (mainly for trp audience who doesn’t get info from social media) and their dialogues are vague and ambiguous.

I quite disagree as well...why is Anu having to reconsider when she said yes already(which was after she found out about the daadi thing) she could have just asked for more time to think if she was unsure of the consequences.

I'm actually surprised too that people(here or on social media) have the opinion that Anu is not at fault. We have been tortured by her monologues before so I'm glad they spared us for once, her tears I'm sorry to say didn't garner any sympathy from me this time cause they seemed superficial.

The only thing that Anu should care about at this point is her kids, Paakhi is a fickleminded child and Vanraj has made his intentions clear, which leaves Baa who just can't let go of her control over Anu...she needs to shuffle her priorities. Its sad that she can't see who's playing her and mistakes it for respect.

And I'm not saying all this cause I'm pro Anuj, he's no less of a dumbass.

Hmm I don’t think that will happen. If it does then I hope Anuj just runs away to US because he deserves better.

But I think she has already chosen Anuj.

She is probably questioning everything because of what the Shahs are saying. Of course she shouldn’t because Anuj has proven time and again that he is the only one who deserves her love.

But somewhere I get it. The Shahs are trying to malign her in the worse possible way. All those things that they are saying are what people in small town India actually say and its boring holes in her heart.

What she is grieving right now is the prospect of scandalising the family.The story makes no sense because we would have assumed that she got over all these doubts when she said yes to him, and the good Shahs are already with her.

But she will overcome these inhibitions and choose Anuj.
