The reality is that genetics and lifestyle (what you eat, vitamins) are the key factors for hair and skin health. Katrina has a private chef that cooks healthy, well balanced meals every day. And she has access to the best hairdressers who style her hair weekly. Plus as others say, South Asians and South American women tend to have great thickness and hair health.

What we lack is not the knowledge or the access to these treatments but the kind of money it takes to hire someone who will help us keep to a routine and administer all these things on us.

The second best thing is, keeping ourselves hydrated, regularly exercise, yoga- Surya Namaskaras, get timely sleep!

Tret or OTC retinol twice a week. Hyaluronic acid and ceramides rest of the week to keep skin barrier strong and hydrated. They might have other actives in the routines depending on their skin concern but I'm sure they have the three that I mentioned in their routine.

Centella/cica is another one that I'm sure they have in their routine.

Yep

Most likely also a yearly ultherapy treatment, micro needling and /or high freq laser treatments to simulate collagen and keep the face tightened

There are plenty of non surgical procedures offered at derms offices these days that help massively with skin texture and tightness as you age

The smart ones start doing these at an earlier age so it really shows results as they age …

I think most Indian women have nice thick hair due to genetics

But whenever I do feel my hair is thinning , I do this thing where I eat lots and lots of curry leaves ..it works like a charm…

It’s a popular South Indian trick to help with hair greying and growth

I make this drink which mixes buttermilk (chaas) with lots of curry leaves - blend and drink…I also make it a point to eat the curry leaves we use in the cooking (sabzi, rasam, Sambar)

Lots of ppl also put curry leaves in hot oil and apply it to the hair once it cools down

I feel like many use extensions a lot, but even the ones with naturally long thick hair would use all sorts of expensive treatments I'd imagine.

It's yesteryear actresses where you could be sure that it's mostly just good genes, because such treatments and products didn't exist back then.

Ahh forgot about extensions, of course they do. That’s why they are able to switch off styles so quickly and without damaging too much their natural hair. And that’s why their curls or volume often look amazing in shoots. Having said that I think that it’s more prominent for US celebrities who have very thing hair. I think that the likes of Katrina, Sonam, Anushka, Deepika have naturally gorgeous and thick hair.

I agree about those actresses you mentioned tbh, they do seem like they have naturally thick hair, like many desi women.
