Grand new look for ZEE's Antakshari show Feb 14, 2005 01:15 PM |
India's longest running gameshow Antakshari is being given a much awaited makeover by ZEE TV. The format of the show has gone under a complete makeover with many alterations. In total there will be three rounds namely - 'Ek ka Paanch', 'Tring Tring' and the 'Visual Round'. One of the main changes that will be seen is in the selection of the teams that will participate. There will be six Anjane teams selected from the audiences at the start of the episode who will further compete with each other to form the three teams of 'Deewane', 'Parwane' and 'Mastane'. As per the new format, every round will be musical but at the same time it will have elements of a game show. This will give the show a momentum and a tension filled, unpredictable climax. The thought of bringing our friends from across the borders on the show was on our mind since a long time and holi seemed to be the perfect festival for this celebration." Antakshari is shown on ZEE TV on Sunday nights. The new look of the show will be introduced on ZEE TV UK next month to coincide with the broadcaster's tenth birthday. Also to note is Antakshari's new time. From this Sunday (20th February) the programme will air Sundays at 21:30. http://www.media247.co.uk/bizasia/newsarchive/2005/02/grand_ new_look.php |
